Putin meets Xi in Beijing amid widening gulf with West

It was a show of unity, with talk of peace and cooperation, but the backdrop was a world divided and - in Ukraine and Gaza - engaged in deadly combat.
(Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
The first meeting between Vladimir Putin and China's president Xi Jinping since Russia's president was re-elected, effectively unopposed, in March came in a week of huge anti-Russian protests in Georgia and the attempted assassination of Slovakia's anti-western prime minister.

The funny thing is Putin is far from isolated, we in the western believe we should watch the 🗺 from a Western and Eurocentric lense. While majority of the would still conducts trade and business with Russia. Western economic santions has not really impacted the country the way the US and its lackeys ( EU, Canada, Australia, Japan and South Korea) wants.

Exactly the point, my friend. For example, NATO is apparently acceptable because it is between Western allies. But, why? To Eastern countries, this is an obvious threat to their national security. If it was the other way around, a NATO-like military alliance of the Eastern countries would simply not be tolerated. Western hegemony has to end, because the USA is the real dictator of the world stage. Support Ukranian civilians, but do not support the Ukrainian government for it is a Western vassal

So a high manufacturing economy dependent upon foreign trade, China would prefer to do business with Russia with its $3 trillion GDP and population of 143 million (ie. potential market) over the US with its 330 million population wth a much higher standard of living and greater spending potential (potential market!) with a $25 trillion GDP and the EU (480 million, $14 trillion GDP.) Could somebody explain the logic behind this?

The 【Sino-Soviet border conflict】 was a seven-month undeclared military conflict between the Soviet Union and China in 1969, following the Sino-Soviet split. The most serious border clash, which brought the world's two largest communist states to the brink of war, occurred near Damansky (Zhenbao) Island on the Ussuri (Wusuli) River in Manchuria. Clashes also took place in Xinjiang. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sino-Soviet_border_conflict USSR help China and then betray our trust by attacking us.
