Next Level! Just discovered your channel and I can see that you are a GREAT editor! NICE!!!
Good clear video Dan. Good that in the short running time you also explain how the two video tracks work together for background and foreground. This confuses newbies as the shot doesn’t seem to change but now it is a clever composite allowing text. Keep up the good work on your next videos.
Great video!

Love the tutorial, but I have watched something like this in the past and instantly thought "Don't you need the Studio (ie: paid) version of Resolve to do this?". I got my hopes up thinking they may have changed that but unfortunately not. It may be worth adding "Studio" (or "Studio Version") to the end of the title. I have seen other creators leave this out as well, and some end up adding it later. Just an idea. Your tutorials are amazing though!
Thanks brother! Really helpful!

Tnx dude )
For simple VFX shots (like adding in smoke or mist) or changing the background more like set extension this is the kind of thing that will CRUSH doing it in any other application for speed and quality of result. Really brilliant tool that works far faster and more reliably than Adobe's rotobrush. Would love to see how it works on humans explored even more, especially footage of human's moving fast, with motion blur, holding objects, in varying lighting across the clip, etc. I plan to test this out myself, but a video of this would be very interesting. Great first video!
Keep going! Very helpfull video for me. Thank you

Wow. Impressed. Great start to the channel. New sub here. Looking forward to learning more. Thanks from Canada.
Big W. This trick will make me so much cash 💸 💰 🤑 😭
Great work buddy. Why don't you build a multi part step by step editing tool guide, color correction guide, basic effects and transition guide and then a full on fusion guide. There is not much consolidated guides on Da Vinci. They are all in bits and pieces. May be you can cover all the basics and then move on to specialized stuff. Thanks for the video and looking forward to more tutorials. This helps. ❤
More Tutorial awesome And very satisfied video tutorial thank you. I need this video in my YT channel Inprove my editing my videos 💯🥰
Excellent video! My only suggestion would be to actually put the text on the screen that indicates what buttons you are actually clicking as you click them. This would just add another level of clarity. Looking forward to more.

could you explain the 3 nodes in the color page. I have done this same effect by only creating the alpha node I am just wondering. Overall good video and you gained a sub!
@Danvinci1
Жыл бұрын
Amazing thank you so much, so the 3 nodes I used in this video were just very simple corrector nodes. The first just had a LUT applied to it and the second I had boosted the gain and lowered the lift. Just to make the shot look a little nicer for the video. Then the 3rd node was just the magic mask effect.

How do you record your screen and make it rotate like that?
Great video... right to the point. Question. If this car is driving toward me, is there a way to have the car driving through the text?
@Danvinci1
Жыл бұрын
Little trick I use which might help is having an identical clip on top of your footage and fade the opacity of the car in or out depending on wether you want it in front or behind. Hard to explain in text but I hope that helps!
Love your stuff. Is there a way to add an object behind something AND track it so it stays in place?

Welcome!!!
I've been experiencing the frustration of a desired simple glow effect just not lasting throughout the entire clip track, like the tracking is only showing it for a few seconds even _after_ it's been tracked. Cant remember if I was in Fusion or Color but I know my 'picker' mask tool was checked 'on' so that's not the issue. Wondered how 1) to have more control over when a masking effect starts & ends in a clip (& yes my clip is short] & 2) if the 'Grow/Shrink/Continue/etc features can either help or hinder the process & 3) how can I use keyframes to control Tracked Mask FX length if tracking fails. 🙏 Please help.

the magic mask isn’t available in the free version of Resolve. If your trying to open the colour tab for the first time. The node tree may not be open by default. You’ll have to open it using the tabs at the top.
