Good way to make use of the rice cooker. This would be an excellent dish made in advance and taking the the drippings from ginger and onions a do a reduction sauce for the chicken would be excellent. Also a ginger scallion sauce would go nice with this chicken as well.

I will try this method for my roast chicken but after the rice cooker, I'll baked it for another 8-10mins at 180°C in the oven just to make the outer layer of chicken a bit crispy. Thank you for the recipe. ❤❤❤

@@kimnambiar5884 Yes, I have baked chicken but not whole in my rice cooker. 4 parts of whole chicken, then baked in the oven for 5mins at 230C just for crispiness. Whole chicken doesn't fit my rice cooker.

Ill try this so i need to look for a rice cooker that has a timer or may be i just cook it using the pan of my rice cooker and electric stove and alam clock that is set for 30 mins. Could it be the same?

I guess, you still can cook in your rice cooker not on stove and just timing it with a clock or phone
