I wish I could combine the best of both. Castilian's delivery of the first "La Muerte" was straight up intimidating, but I didn't like "y con eso basta" at the end. I mean, it kind of deflates the former intimidation. Meanwhile LatAm's "sin mascara" leaves that sense of dawning realization of "oh shit," or in this case, "mierda."

Ok, but as a romance language speaker I can understand other romance languages to an extent so let me say this: I love the Italian translation of "I'm death straight up". The original is great but the Italian one has an expression that really encapsulates the death concept really well. It's difficult to explain unless you understand it but it gives you really the feeling "it just is, with no pity".
@chazaqiel2319

Literally, it would be "tough and pure". It's somethis we say when there's a painful reality which can't be changed. It's simple, it's rough and there's nothing you can do about it. The closest equivalent would be "plain and simple", but that expression doesn't address the hard and painful meaning of "dura e pura".

The original is sinister, confident and at many times soft-spoken. In Italian, he's confrontational, mocking and just fucking angry. While the original feels a lot more like an inescapable force of nature, the Italian version embodies the idea that Death incarnated in this form specifically for Puss, and tailor-made something which could teach this arrogant little legend what it means to be afraid. This is perfectly encapsulated in the differences between the way they say "pick it up". In English, it's almost obvious. You're Puss in Boots, come on, pick it up, why don't you? Na dublagem brasileira, eu achei que os melhores momentos foram este, o momento onde a vida do gato passa em frente aos seus olhos, e o hasta la muerte. No resto prefiro em inglês apesar de ambos serem dubladores brasileiros AKAKA.

Italian and mexican voice are amazing
I swear Hungarian voice acting peaked over here with this one. I really loved our Death's voice! He really recreated the atmosphere and maybe added a bit to it. What some of my friends wished they added to the dub were spanish phrases like cursing and such but regardless I am very pleased which cannot be said to every dub of animated movies here-

curiosity: The voice of death in English is made by a Brazilian who incredibly knows how to speak this language without any defect (Wagner Moura)
the latin american spanish I think will always be my favourite tbh. The english version is a very close second.

To the hingarian one, i turned auto generated subtitles, and he wrote "chuck E cheese" when death said that he was death straight up, it killed me 🤣🤣🤣

As Brazilian i can Say we Brazilians have good dub btw Fun fact: the original death Voice actor is brazilian that is Wagner moura the same one that acted capitão nascimento
Hindi is actually pretty good and well translated I was shocked.

I know right!
To this day I'm upset because Death's english voice actor, Wagner Moura, is brazzilian, and they didn't get him to do the portuguese dub.

It's crazy. Antonio Banderas all of the Spanish versions for Puss.
As a pole i find rylly funny the comprison between ukrainan and polish version becouse both sentences are pressents and use in both languages but mean litte other things xD polish ,,I am just death'' (sence is that it is no more no less just this one death) and ukrainan,, I am death peroid'' (,, i kropka"- there is no discussion or complain this is the thing i am death and you can do anything about it).
Fun (or scary) fact: in my country (i'm from Brazil, Death's Brazilian voice-actor, Brazilian professional voice-actor, Sérgio Moreno, used to be the Brazilian voice-actor of Mickey Mouse before being replaced by another Brazilian professional voice-actor named Guilherme Briggs.
Is it only me or Death sound amazing in every language?
First Italian, second English 😍
The French version sounded scary as hell. Calm but with barely held back anger and violent intent. Just as the intent was meant to be.
the best Death dubbing voices - English, German, Italian, Polish and Ukrainian Polish and Ukrainian are similar (Familiar languages) :D
Not seeing anyone that about the Brazilian one, so i will. "Nua e crua" is te best scary shit this one would have said and i LOVE IT
Man, in Canadian French and German he's really scary... I love it!

Mi actor de Doblaje favorito, Roberto Encinas, le hace la voz al lobo en Castellano, OLE! 🇪🇦
English is definitely my favorite simply bc I love Wagner Moura’s voice/accent. It’s genuinely dark and menacing with a dash of charm thrown in.
For those who don't know, the voice actor who dubs death is a Brazilian who made the two films Tropa de Elite.

I love the Italian dub.
Doesn't matter what language it is, I still felt fear.
In Portuguese, he says "I'm Death, bare and raw"
Persian sounds like anime Kratos-
“I am Death. Simple as that.” - Hungarian
It's a crime that Wagner Moura didn't voice Death In Brazilian Portuguese
He is PERFECT in Italian
Death is based on the folkloric character of the Grim Reaper, whereas the tune he whistles is based on The Silbón, a legend associated with the Los Llanos region of Colombia and Venezuela.🐺️💀☠️🌬️🎼⚰️
Bruh im only half persian/iranian but the Soren Studios one gave me chills....The german one seems underrated and for the Polish....Damn. I still think the English one was the best. But those 3 were pretty damn close.

I'm half Chilean, and I'm absolutely in love with the LA Spanish one. That Death really nails it for me, and I've been quoting his lines a sh!t ton already.
Going purely off of listening to their voices: French, German, LA Spanish and Persian 4 really work for me. Honorable mention for Vietnamese and Spanish (Spain).
And the voice actor in English is of Brazilian nationality
