Especially given that Kerri is a trans women, I have no doubt she is getting barraged by transphobia left and right as a result of her staying over Alyssa. Blame should not be put on Kerri for taking threats seriously, it rather should be placed on the fans who say disgusting things because of the result on a TV show.

Probably has a bigger media presence I guess so they keep her safe? I LOVE Kandy. Initially i wasn’t a huge fan of her at the beginning of her season, but not only is she a fierce lipsyncser and a stylish queen, but she’s so authentic and no bullshit. Really refreshing- she doesnt feel like one of those queens that has to be “on” at all times

When you think about it, the chances of going home first are far less if all 14 queens are on the first episode. S12 had top 2 and no eliminations for the split premiere, which I personally loved as a format. S13 format was a disaster. It doesn’t feel right that Orion and Daya basically start out the competition as “less than” because production wanted to try a needless fake elimination. Being the worst out of a group of 6-7 queens on the first ep just seems way different than being the worst out of 14 queens. But I would have been genuinely upset if the eliminations were legit

This candy bar stunt is there to shift audience's perception of the blatant rigga morris of the production to "luck". Pretty sure the Queens were given bars after lipsyncs and the pickup was just for show. If they want to keep someone then "Oh hey, would you look at that golden ticket?".

when i was watching this episode, all i could think about was how excited i was for bob to talk about the kornbread-jasmine listening bootcamp moment. she & kandy did not disappoint.

Kornbread did say at the roscoe’s viewing party that she was just starting her hormone replacement, so that’s why she was going off on Jasmine. Someone did need to tell Jasmine that she was doing a bit too much, but Kornbread did take it further than it needed. I am glad they are on better terms now, and they were able to solve their problems. Such a good season so far.

Yeah, Kerri has been in my personal top 3 since the first episode. I absolutely was rooting for her this episode. I don’t think she should have been in the bottom to begin with. But she did not win that lipsync. I mean production obviously had already decided that it was Alyssas time to go home. And just wanted to put some heat on Kerri. So I’m glad we get more Kerri this season. But at no point were she doing better than Alyssa this episode. Alyssa was bringing it. The money gun was a bit of bad luck but like she was already so much ahead in the lip sync. I thought Kerris dancing in the verity show was good, so I’m guessing the dress was the main issue.

@@IQzminus2 Kerri was one of my favorites when the cast was announced , but I don’t know how I feel now. I don’t think her performance was good in the talent show either, she can’t sew, she can’t act, so yeah not really feeling her anymore. Alyssa won that lip sync, and I’m shocked Bob even mentioned Kylie’s lip sync moment, cuz the reason she won that lip sync was the editing, they could easily make it look like a fail and give the crown to Raja, just like they had to stop the music for Alyssa and put cricket sounds😭 Hope Kerri will come out of her shell and do better, but I really hate unfairness, so the fact that Alyssa went home really upset me, especially cuz I liked her looks, they always looked very expensive.

I think I would've done a drag version of J.Lo's looks in something like Anaconda or Enough. Or Maid in Manhattan, come out in a maid outfit then reveal into the dress she wears.

I heard they couldn’t do any of her movie characters as a runway. I think it was Maddy who was going to do the cell costume but couldn’t. 🤷🏼‍♀️

My favorite looks are Alyssa and Angeria for how they recreate the looks, and Kerri for how she has the original dress. I also like Willow for her reasoning behind the dress choice “it’s a little bit ugly” I can’t😂😂😂

Literally the look that Kerri did is the only iconic JLo look I could think of (and well also the met gala one). Idk what they were thinking with this theme other than it lining up perfectly with JLo’s new movie coming out

I was shocked by cornbread too. Im sure the edit helped with her seeming so exasperated but she was really going in on miss thing. Like Kandee said, girl couldn't breathe without pissing bread off. And I had to agree with Kandee, I wasn't loving breads Jlo look either. It just wasn't doing it for me.
