That's so true. Everybody who sings Purple Rain tries to sound like Prince... even Patti Labelle. This is the only time I've heard someone sing it and make it their own. Even the piano runs.

Not only that but I have gained a new appreciation for songs by hearing them in a different genre and style or songs I didn’t care for originally sound brand new and fresh!

How have I missed this until now? This has to be THE definitive cover

There is something special with this video, this song, with Miche Braden. When I look at other PMJ releases, they are fun, joy, entertaining, they are "for fun" and lightweight; But this one, this is serious business, what they are doing here is important. Miche Braden has so much presence, so much leadership, it's like I'm hearing at the diplomatic speech of the decade, sung version. This has something sacral. And that's amazing.

Many songs, musicians and singers move me, usually individually. This song hits my soul on all levels. Beautiful song by Prince, beautifully arranged and played by Scott and wow Miche brings me almost to tears when she sings it. All other songs now get compared to this, in my scale. Music is my therapy and this rendition is my panacea

Can we talk about how powerful her vocals are, she is so far from the microphone 😲😍

I'm the biggest critic of Prince covers, because he was a once in a life time talent that was immeasurable. This is cool because you make it your own!

Saw them live about a month ago. Her rendition of Sweet Child O Mine blew me away. It was the 2nd song of the night, and I already knew it was the highlight.

I got speechless... What an amazing performance, both of Miche Braden and Scott, of course.

As a Minnesota native, I have to say Prince would be proud of this. I wish we could have seen a duet.
