This car is truly beautiful, it was my Uncle Tony's car!! I couldn't be more proud of him and his dedication to his mustangs! He actually took a hit on price for this car at the auction, as what it sold for was much less than what he had into it and paid for.

All things considered, that’s an excellent price on a rare-investment grade Musclecar. Color looks eerily familiar to my fathers ‘66 Landau, that he changed over to Antique White 🥺. Thank you Rich for taking all that time to video this beauty!

Thanks Richard, Yes as they stated in the video this is really a rare car with all of the best stuff from the Muscle Car Era in the iconic 69 Mach 1 package and rare paint. That word gets used so often in the collector car world but this one really is that car. He paid nearly 100k just to buy it and then who knows how much it took to get it to this level .Probably close to 175 to 200 k I would guess.

Hey Robert, Not sure if you got to watch the video but its painted a nearly one of one Midnight Orchid Metallic( Purple) not gold and yes that was the factory special order paint. We discuss it at length in the video. This one brought good money as it was a very strong car. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@MustangConnection1 Sorry my screw up. At 2.04 you had said that the car was gold when they found it on E bay, Then Tony corrected and stated it was silver and black . Which is a way better color combo than Gold ! Keep up the great content. Especially when we get to see really rare Mustangs like this.

Every single 1969 Mach 1 came with a blacked out hood treatment. It wasn't an option on the Mach 1 package but standard. It was an option on the GT package for that year ( 69) no GT's in 70

Those were dealer usually dealer installed. In 1970 they did offer the rear deck spoiler on all sportsroofs as an option. The only Mustangs that acutally came with front spoilers standard in 69-70 are Boss 302's and Boss 429's.

On the surface that sounds decent.... However, that level of restoration cost him at least double that 80k, he had closer to 175k in the car and restoration( or more). $140k is with the 10% auction house commission that the seller doesn't see plus their is an insertion fee to put the car in the auction and transporting it to the event too.

Hi how do i get in contact with the owners or the new owners of this car. Im pretty sure my dad special ordered this car out of Michigan back in 1969. It is the right color, its a four speed, and it doesnt have power steering like he wanted. I still have pics of this car setting in our driveway as a kid. You can find me on facebook under Chris Barker in Virginia. Would love to know if it really was his car. He is 74 years old now and bought when he was in the army. Please reach out. Chris this car was sold at Barrett-Jackson so you would have to contact them to see if there would be a way to get in contact with the winning bidder. I spoke to Tony King ( the former owner) recently and he said he thinks it went to a collector in Canada but that person never so much as asked a single question about the car.
