The two guitarists (Sam and Herman), have know each other since 1999. Check out their first band Demoniac. These guys must have just simply grown this good together.

Yeah...he took a page from Dimebags book. Dimebag would do that as well. Check the "Domination" video from the "Monsters of Rock Moscow" For a good view.

It makes me sad that no one reacts to the full version, no video but it's twice as impressive.

I forgot how neutered the official video is. Lots of stuff missing from the actual track. Still good though! Fun reaction.

Saw this guys live once and yes,it is insane. I'm not a fan of the voice style, but the instrumental side totally makes up for it, they really go wild live with improvisation and competition like you called it. Pretty sure Herman came out of his mum with a guitar on his hands

Herman Li is a God!!! And a wicked down to earth and funny guy. Sam Totman is great as well. Don't mean to leave him out!

Hah! Herman "The Guitar Dragon" Li. Well not all their members are British. The lead singer in this video is their former vocalist, ZP Theart (now with Skid Row) is South African. Their new drummer Gee Anzalone is Italian. They have new vocalist now, and yes, he's English. Valley of the Damned is my all-time fave from them.

The full song is around 8 minutes, they shortened it in the video. If you watch their live performances, you’ll see the full song. Also, you should react to JUNNA’s drum cover of this song. She is insanely good.

All whammy bars can go the opposite way. It's just not very safe to do it the way Herman did. He said that it broke multiple times during recording for the video and album track while trying to do what he did there.

Dragonforce was involved with Babymetal. They wrote their song Road of Resistance and more. They have also performed live together.

You have to see them live. Imagine every metal-head fake-playing air-guitar at a metalfestival when this band is playing. It is amazing!!🙌👌😁

Angus McFife originally auditioned for Dragonforce when Z.P left, but wasn't accepted because he wasn't based in Britain. Which was good for us since we got both Dragonforce, Gloryhammer and now his new band. Video is 'bad' because it's from 2005, when all of us still had 12 inch crt monitors. This video is a cut of the original song. The full version of this song is about 7 minutes long and the guitar solo is much longer than they showed here. Their other songs are just as insane as this one but this song is the most famous.

If I remember correctly DragonForce was originally made by the guitar players so that's why the guitar playing is amazing and the main focus

If you've mentioned "that guy who plays wonderwall at parties" You should check Marcin Patrzałek, and think about that analogy with him, he is hands down the most impressive acoustic guitar player in the world, he makes every wonderwall guy look like triangle player xD

More Dragonforce reactions . If you want to react to their fastest song try The Game . It's 240 BPM ( beats per minute . ) Just wanna warn you there . Lol . It also has the new singer and drummer in that video so it would be good to compared and see who you like better in the band . They're both awesome and filled with talent . But I do prefer the original ZP Theart ( the one in through the fire and flames vid ) he's definitely one of a kind . But Marc also does bring a different range to the table as well. React to their epic song Edge of the World . It's their longest song and I promise it's not boring at all. It's worth it . Hint: he puts a little bit of death metal into the mix too. And makes it sound awesome with that and his high pitch vocals . Hope you react to these 2 . Completely agree 👍 I stoped listening to them when Theart left! Nothing wrong with Marc but he’s no ZP Theart like come on!! Saw them live a good few years ago and as a front man he carried that band through a rough crowd, by the end of the gig he was a hero. Tryed to get into I am I but just wasn’t the same! ps this is on my cycling up hills song. Power metal at its finest 🤘🤘🤘

I also thought the lead singer is Weird Al as he sounds just like him. It's not him but I wished that Weird Al does a parody of this like running a marathon&doing a hair product commercial.

Impossible not to love Herman Li

They are the epitome of power metal, and all are amazing, the drummer kills it, going crazy the whole time and really drives the song, the vocals, style and how good, pure power metal, and soaring vocals. Of course the guitars, over the top awesome. If I could rename the genera they do, it’d be turbo metal, they left power a few stages back.

Fun fact this song almost wasn't released by the band but Herman li let his dog choose one of 3 different songs and according to Herman his dog was more energetic when this song was playing so he went with it lol

That scenario of the party is exactly what I wanted to do lol. I was learning this solo as a party trick when the wonderwall dude would do his bullshit and I'd pull out this solo, but man this solo is too hard that I gave up guitar.

But just let me do a little correction, wasn't DragonForce who created Power Metal, it is a style very old, in fact who created it was Helloween, for what i know, but remembering that Helloween born influenced by Iron Maiden, who passed to have Power Metal songs in their playlist with time, still seems that Helloween was the first band who appeared with that type of song. If DragonForce had a child with Nightwish that they left in Japan and let it grow up there that child would be the band Unlucky Morpheus.

Funny you should mention LoveBites. Dragonforce actually mentioned that they were jealous of the songwriting LoveBites has, let alone their tone and virtuosity! If you want to hear them playing together (LoveBites double billed with them on a UK tour after LoveBites played a main stage at Wacken), there is a video of them together playing Farm Simulator. And yes, Midori and Miyako outplayed Herman and Sam!

@@ChrisPage68 I wouldn't. Dragonforce would be too easy for them, plus they could also replace the keyboardist. What Midori and Miyako could easily do is replace Leda, Ohmura, Isao, or anyone else as Kamis for Babymetal.

You gotta listen to the album version of this song. It's longer and more epic. Better to listen. Video is too distracting.

this song is one of my favorite, but the best one is : Dragon Force - Seasons (acoustic version) I know it sense weird but the contrast with all their songs is just insane.

I cant listen to this song sitting down. I started pushing into my chair and grabbing the arm rests on the verge of ripping them off.

They came about after my official metal day's in the 90's so I didn't cash them outside. I'm glad I know about them now. I like all types of metal genres, don't get me wrong but I like Megadeth sounding groups.
