This is none of my business but I'll ask it anyway. Do you think you might keep Sherlock? There is something special about him and you seem to have a special attachment to him. I realize a breeder can't keep all the puppies.

If he turns out to be a sterling example of the breed - which he may become - I would want to keep him to show and possibly use for stud service. The plan is to run him on for a few months, and see how he develops. And yes, I am becoming very attached to him!

Most days, I make a cup of Italian Blend in the Keuring coffeemaker. When I want more of a treat, I make cappucino using Starbucks Espresso Blend.

With Sherlock being an only child/puppy do you do anything differently (socialization for example) that you wouldn't have to do with a multiple puppy litter?

We have to fill in the gap left by the lack of littermates by giving him more human interaction, and allowing his mother to spend more time with him.

Ciao Charlie sono Annarita dall'Italia, scusa se ti disturbo, ma avevo bisogno di un tuo consiglio!Il mio Kavalier Ricciolina di un anno e cinque mesi, ha paura dei cani, perché a cinque circa mesi è stata aggredita da un cane (per fortuna non ha avuto conseguenze, avendola presa in tempo) , e si è fortemente spaventata! Comunque ho continuato a portarla in giro, ma come vedeva un cane voleva venire in braccio!Con l inizio dell'anno scolastico ho avuto meno tempo per portarla ha passeggio, però tutte le mattine la portavo difronte casa a mare(visto che abito difronte al mare) e come al solito come vede dei cani ha paura! Adesso finalmente la scuola è finita e posso portarla più in giro!Ma è un disastro perché mi tira ha paura e se vede un cane vuole venire in braccio e se la porto in strade che non non la portavo da tempo non vuole camminare🤦🤦🤷!Come devo fare? Grazie Charlie❤

Ci vorrà molto lavoro e tempo. Se hai vicini che hanno cani ben educati che conosci e di cui ti fidi, chiedigli di incontrarne uno in un ambiente sicuro e tranquillo. Inizia tenendolo in braccio e accarezzandolo, in modo che sappia che è al sicuro. Dopo un po' prova a metterla a terra con il cane del vicino, ma resta nelle vicinanze. Farlo per un lungo periodo di tempo e con alcuni cani diversi può aiutarlo a superare la sua paura.
