His squeaks at the beginning caused by cavalier to run to the screen to see what's wrong. Then she ran to her food bowl and chowed down on the breakfast leftovers (although most cavaliers eat everything in the bowl mine always saves 3 bites for later in case of disaster like I'm 5 minutes late in feeding her)

I think Sherlock is going to have enough go into the wash along with the towel! 😂 So sweet.

We are taking him to a Physical Therapist this week for an evaluation and development of a home exercise program - he is still not getting his right front leg underneath to give him proper support when walking.

He sure “hoovered” that up. Never thought it would fit!

I have to put Apple in a crate when I feed Sherlock, or she would eat the food right from under him. But she does do a good job cleaning up after him.

Hard for a puppy to be the only one.No brothers or sisters to cuddle up to.

Gaining every day, and almost up to a pound and a half.

He's got a great appetite! I notice he's not on the egg-crate type foam any longer (at least not in this video). Has the swimmer's syndrome been taken care of already?

He's making good progress, sleeping on his side a lot more instead of his tummy, which helps his chest development. He is also starting to lift up and make early attempts at walking, but his front legs are still not strong enough to support full movement. We're taking him to a Physical Therapist next week to develop an exercise program, and in the meantime we have him on a "wooly" instead of the egg crate foam. It's not as bumpy as the foam, and much more comforting, but it still gives him much more traction than the usual pads we use in the whelping box, and should help his progress in learning to walk. The surface you saw in this video was a towel we put down, which we have to do when he eats solid food at this point - because he is incredibly sloppy!

FYI, I clean up with clorox wipes and the pet enzyme spray, and wash all her bed blankets after messes.

The enzyme spray should be fine, but instead of Clorox wipes, you might consider Nolvasan. It's a disinfectant concentrate that you dilute and spray - after you wipe it up and it dries, the surface is totally safe for dogs, even if they lick.

Is Sherlick going to be adoptable? Could I give Sherlock come to Me for a Forever Home! I recently lost my Cavy Baby, 14 years old, and need another.

He will most likely be placed, and we have a number of families who have been waiting for months to get one of our puppies. We will honor our commitment to them when it comes time.
