To me it looked in the end like Bucket and Dagwood needed Birdie perhaps just as much as Birdie needed them. Dogs in advanced age needs motivation and challenges too to get the most out of them. They really match each other regarding their fur colors. So stylish together!

Foster fails are the best kind of fails. Because it's a win win on both sides. The animal gets a new home and the humans get a new fur-baby

There has to be better ways to deal with no longer wanting a dog...thank goodness she was spotted. She deserved better.

I’m sobbing at 7am in the morning. What a story. Thank you to the wonderful people and dogs who make this world beautiful. Thank you to this woman for giving the pup the life it deserves.

I will NEVER understand how people can abandon a pet, especially after the pet has been with the family for years. How sad is that for that precious being? My heart just breaks for them 💔

Yes, my rescue was in the desert starving after being left. She could shake hands, sit, stay, come, lay down.....SOMEONE taught her that and then abandoned her like that. Pitiful.

Sometimes it's so they can find a better home though, like in this case. Who knows what her life was before if the person didn't want her, it couldn't have been that great.

As much as we love our animals and they appreciate and reciprocate it, sometimes they need one of their own kind to fully enjoy life. You could see how Bucket and Dagwood brought out the fun-loving dog in Birdie.

Thank you to everyone who helped rescue the puppy and get her into a loving forever home I love the one dog standing by the trash going I didn't do it that's very funny once again thank you for giving her a wonderful forever home

it's amazing to see Dagwood still running after being hit by a car 2 years ago. and now he's helping his new sister by showing her a world of adventure. I remember watching the video of what happened to Dagwood, how he proved the vets wrong by walking out of the vet with all four legs, sucked that he lost his tail though, and now he's being one awesome big brother to Birdie!

Aww poor baby. Soo happy to see him enjoying himself 🤩

Seeing them run together in the open space really reminds you that they're pack animals, this is how they're designed to live. It's really beautiful

The owners of Birdie said they "didn't want her anymore?" Do they really think animals are disposable when inconvenient? They did not deserve to have Birdie and the least they could have done was drop her off at a shelter. They are an example of what not to do when you no longer want that pet. Pathetic people.
