    My dog threw up the other day and I used the carpet enzyme cleaning solution you mentoned - it works very well and good to keep handy in the cabinet!

    Story update: We haven't visited the shelter yet, but we are deciding on a Maltese. Shiba Inu is sadly out of the question. But I will get a Shiba when I'm an adult which will hopefully be in 7 years.

    Update: If we get a dog we'll get one next year. So when our dog is a puppy he can be supervised during the whole summer.

    Your videos are so informative! I wish they were around when my late husband and I bought Ozzy!! One tip I learned actually from when we had our Cocker Spaniel..."Out!" Is only available at Walmart...the best stain remover and it has a nice lanolin scent. Everything else we used didn't remove the entire stain and the smell of the chemicals wasn't pleasant!! Thank you for your videos. Ozzy loved baby carrots as a puppy instead of rawhide!

    Hey! You probably dont remember me but I used to watch your videos. Im here to comment that I am currently making a website called The Shiba Shop, its basically a dropshipping website (buys product but sends to customer) where you can purchase products for your shiba inu, such as the ones from this video. As I comment this im making a shiba puppy collection using some of the products you have mentioned. I still haven't gotten a Shiba Inu for myself yet lol, its so hard to get shiba inu's in australia without getting them from japan.

    Welcome back! The website sounds like a great idea. I hope it will be a success. I am not familiar with the breeders situation in Australia but there should have some breeders there too, no?

    Do you think if i got a Shiba Inu I could socialize it frequently enough he/she could able to live with cats and not be overly aggressive? I had a teacher who had a Shiba and had cats as well and the Shiba and cats got along fine enough and I was thinking if I got the dog as a puppy and socialized him and got aggression out of it early on then got cats when it was older do you think that would work?

    Hi! It’s always a good idea to socialize a Shiba Inu early on since it tends to be more reserved in nature. With the cats in my own experience when Jimmy went dog boarding with a home with cats. Jimmy wanted to play with cats but they don’t like him at all lol I think it really depends on each individual animal

    Hey! We got a shiba puppy a few months ago, and we also have two kiddos. We’re experienced dog owners, but our puppy is getting into EVERYTHING! She wants to play with our baby and nips him which obviously hurts him, she tears up carpet, and she chews furniture. I was told to keep her in a playpen attached to her crate when she cannot be completely supervised, but she comes out of the crate even MORE rambunctious and is now starting to whine and dig at her water bowl when placed in her playpen. I don’t want her to be miserable! Anyone have any experience with a shiba puppy (4 months) like this? Any advice welcome!

    Hi Ellie, 4 months puppy is still very young and has a lot of energy that needs to be used daily. When our dog Jimmy at that age I took him almost daily to dog parks to socialize and also use up his energy. After the play he still chew on carpet or cause trouble. Keep in mind although she’s difficult now, it’s just a phase and it will pass. With the kids always supervised your dog when she’s with them as puppy doesn’t know what’s appropriate interaction with kids and needs to be taught by the owner. Good luck 👍🏻

    You wash her every 3 months? I was considering getting one Shiba and I thought I should wash it every week! 😆 Doesn’t she smell? How do you clean them when they do their business?

  • @jenniferking2243

    @jenniferking2243

    I think washing weekly might be too frequent! My shiba has "self cleaning" functionality. With how their short hair fur is and how they groom themselves, it might be a good idea to just let nature take care of how it's designed! At most I will take a Costco wet wipe and clean their butt area if they have more watery poop lol :)

    @@jenniferking2243 haha watery poop ! This is the only thing that makes me overthink, I mean what should I do after they do their thing! That’s a tough one.🤔👇🏻

    @@hamedl1865 Trust nature! That's a lot of evolution that has kept them alive and well! Their fur is magical. Sometimes my shiba would play in the mud and get very dirty. And then he would shake shake. 10 mins later he's white again lol. Sometimes I don't know how he does it but that's how theyre designed i guess!
