Punnett Squares - Basic Introduction
This biology video tutorial provides a basic introduction into punnett squares. It explains how to do a monohybrid cross and a dihybrid cross. It discusses the difference between the dominant allele and the recessive allele. It also covers terms such homozygous dominant, heterozygous, and homozygous recessive. It contains plenty of examples and practice problems that explains how to calculate the probability of an offspring with certain characteristics such as eye color. Finally, it also explains how to calculate the genotype ratio as well as the phenotype ratio. It also includes an example of incomplete dominace with white, red, and pink flowers.

My daughter has a Genetic Punnett project for school and I had absolutely no clue what that was. After watching this AMAZING video that was so well put together I will be able to help her with it since she is also lost because its a new subject for her. I really hope this gentleman is alive and well because he is giving a wonderful presentation how this all works. MAD RESPECT for the information and clarity of this video. WELL DONE and THANK YOU !!!

Videos like this give us better understandings. Sometimes teachers make things harder than they seem, but these KZread lessons nourish our minds really well.

Who else think that this guy deserves an award for teaching things this good? I've watched many of your videos and all of them were very useful. In my country, teachers are no longer doing online lessons bcs there payments are low. So all the students are self learning now. Even the text books aren't helpful. It's basically trash. Without watching your videos, I wouldn't have learnt this much. I have an exam coming up next year and I don't even know if I'll be able to cover the whole syllabus myself. Anyway, thanks for making this amazing youtube channel! You are the best :)

Dude, I highly appreciate that you taught to us in 30 minutes what my teacher could in 4 1-hour sessions. You're the best! :D
Sir you just saved my life this is the best video I could find on Punnett squares, i learnt more in 29 minutes than a couple weeks in class learning this 😆
i watched this just for the difference of trait and phenotype but ended up staying. Your voice is so soothing and everything is so easy to understand!

I have my exam tomorrow and my teacher last second added this... Annoyed at her, but happy I got to see this!! Tysm!!
I don't know why teachers at school don't teach like this. Some of them come with an attitude as they know everything and end up confusing the class even more. I even can't understand traits even after passing class 10 unil I watched your video. Excellent video.
I cannot begin to explain how helpful this is
At first, I didn't want to watch this because I thought it was like every other science youtuber comments. Saying OH THX YOU SO MUCH I LEARNED A LOT FROM THIS YOUR MY FAV SCIENCE KZreadR but after watching this. It Explanation in 30 mins is so good I learned a lot from this video no joke. Watch this video if you want to learn about Punnet Squares (I am not one of those people who says fav KZreadr ever have an exam tomorrow this taught me so much kind of guy)

my God you literally have videos on every topic i search for, you are amazing i can't thank you enough my friend.
Omg, I love this!! Thank you so much! My professor is great but class got cancelled twice as a result of hazardous winds so that left us a little bit behind schedule. As a result of this, my professor pretty much had to rush through these lessons in order to get the class back on track in time for the exam (3 days from now). Needless to say, I was unable to keep up the pace in which she was teaching this stuff and ended up pretty confused as to how to approach Punnett squares. So this video was a lifesaver! Will definitely be using it as a reference until exam day because this is far more helpful than the hasty notes I had to write!
Hi I am JOCO P. OBNIALA 13 years old boy from PHILIPPINES.....you're a nice teacher...it doesn't matter that i am just 13 years old, the important is that i already understand what you are teaching in just one watch...thanks for this wonderful video😊💖...keep up the good work sir!!!😊😊😊

Wow! You just clarified Punnett squares for me in the 11th hour as I take my Biology Praxis Exam tomorrow.. TY😀
i learned more from here in like 10 min then from my teacher taught me the entire time
I legitimately love you so much you have saved me from multiple tests I swear you are better than my actual teachers
honestly thank you so much i barely understood anything before but with your video it gave a lot of help

I have an exam later and this video literally saved me. I understand a whole month's lecture in just this 30 mins video.
how would we write complicated hair colors? like my hair color (when i had hair) was the reddish brown like felicia day had. would it be written in a punnett square as red or brown? or does red only get written like red if its more like Steve hofstetter's red like carrot orangey red?
It’s sad how I need to teach myself these things.. my teachers don’t know how to explain and expect me to pass
I had to learn this again because my cousin asked me to teach her. Why did I agree?😂 I'm so troubled with my accounting course that I don't think I should be here learning this all over again😂
Hey sir, this video helps me so much about how to use punnet squares properly. My science teacher makes this topic really hard for me to understand. Thanks for all of the help😊
