​@galihprakoso1325 It's all connected. If you go to the MCU Fandom, all the Netflix shows have been there since they started. All the history from the shows are on there. Daredevil and Luke Cage shows mention the alien invasion from the Avengers movies during their shows.

Once you watch this series you get the idea why the other characters in the MCU are legit afraid of the punisher and kind of just try to avoid him. Even people who’ve tried to manipulate his rage have come to regret it later. Jon is a masterclass actor who absolutely brought this character to life. It’s a shame marvel will never be anything close to this again.

This show got the balance of raw unrelenting rage and realism of injuries. This is on par with John Wicks 'Gun Fu', I am really happy to see some writers know there is an audience put there that like to see this level of violence that doesn't rely on plot armour as much.

Though I agree, lets be honest, no normal human being would be conscious after the beat down he took at the end of S1 from that CIA dude. Idc how much your inspired by the loss of your family, Frank got absolutely ran through. That said, it is still plausible. Adrenaline is one hell of a drug.

He’s actually an incredibly smart and skilled fighter when you watch how he takes out his opponents. No wonder he was able to fight equally against Daredevil.

Better finish early and strong then prolong and ruin the show. An example is Lost. The first seasons where a freaking blast. Great build up and dialogue. After that they put themself into a corner. I stil like the show tho. Another great show is Breaking Bad, Dark, The Wire. They didn't prolong the shows more then it was needed. There are shows who I think deserves more seasons, like Rome or Marco Polo... And shows that are bad but still get new seasons like Batwoman.

Jon Bernthal is just the best as The Punisher. So glad he took on the role, because it was perfect for him. And in real life, he's a great guy. He is a no bulls--- kinda guy, and he is very nice.

They had to cancel them cause of Disney Plus coming out. Once Disney announced they had a streaming service they canceled their deal with Netflix. Netflix can't create any more seasons, but what came out already can stay on the platform.

@@icepicjoey Absolutely. I don't want this show to be soft washed as Disney often does with stuff. Everyone who loves this show knows exactly why and you just cannot soften the punisher.

The best thing about PUNISHER is his Brutality. His vengeance, anger and will sends his body into a state of overdrive. He has excessive pain tolerance, rage and strength. He is an excellent fighter too. Got excellent environmental awareness skills allowing him to kill his enemies in a variety of ways. And on top of that it's as if he doesn't experience fatigue while fighting.

When I was in the royal navy my mate was the most gentle , kind , witty , hard working , charming shipmates you would ever meet , cross him or hurt a shipmate of his and you pressed the button , then you saw another side of him , never tooled up always used his hands , it was poetic to watch sometimes .

He's like a great ancient warrior, in the days before guns made anyone who could shoot accurately, a soldier. Alexander had a division of men like this, they were his father's soldiers, and older gentlemen, they were absolutely lethal, one of the big reasons his army was invincible. They were the reason he gave up in India. Those guys refused to keep fighting in the horrible heat and damp conditions of India. He knew he would lose the next battle without them. Caesar took Gaul and won the war vs Pompey and the Roman Senate with deadly, seasoned men like portrayed here. Imagine an army of men like him? That's how Empires were built.

Jon Bernathal really played punisher well and since I’ve seen him in other things like TWD & Ghost Recon as other badass characters. He’s starting to grow on me for sure

I mean, in an universe with all that super advanced tech and super dangerous powers, Punisher didn't cross paths with any of it? Really? And almost all of it is in New York, so it should be impossible for him not to end up messing with some of the metahuman level stuff.

The punisher has some of the most realistic combat I've ever seen in a superhero movie or any other movie for that matter. This is true face of combat, it's bloody, brutal and only few live to tell the tale.

One thing I really like about Frank is he actually gets hurt. He gets shot, he gets the shit kicked outta him, he bleeds, he suffers, yet it doesn’t matter to him. His pain resistance is fucking insane, and when he gets hurt he does not stop. It’s my favorite thing about him. Unlike a bunch of people with literal plot armor, the show literally makes it a point to show him getting his ass beaten and just shrugging it off. Like when he got ambushed in the warehouse where Russo was, yet he got up and literally beat the fuck outta all of the dudes in there; despite being covered in blood and bruises from getting pounced on. Sometimes you can’t even tell what’s his blood and what’s other people’s blood on him. It’s something a lot of shows and movies just fuckin bullshit on. Frank literally gets covered in blood from his own abuse and from the pain he’s inflicting on others.

Easily the best Punisher by FAR! He has that visceral slow burning rage. This is a man who is killing because he is obsessed with killing criminals. He is unbalanced, aggressive, and has no qualms about killing anyone who is guilty. This is the best version of the punisher!

Its not really that realistic though. if you;ve ever seen semi real knife practice he'd have been stabbed multiple times. Even trained fighters can't stop multiple stabs, knife is too quick. Plus the number of times dude tank stuff that would kill em in real life. Hell in one seen he lifts and trhows a kettle bell like its nothing. I have one its really not nothing.

tbh Daredevil's code is bullshit. I started watching it after finishing punisher, and what a coward.... He beats the shit out of people and then leaves them there to die; then proceeds to feel morally giddy about himself. Prolly also faps to self before sleep even on the days he gets laid. What do you think happens to a Mafia grunt after getting his head bashed in and left on the streets? Yea, cops prolly ignore it and focus on the leftover violence or try to catch the escaping vigilante, if his "friends" find him then he gets pulled into the alley under a dumpster. The way daredevil beats people, I am willing to bet at least 50% don't survive the night. Rest 25% are disabled and alive, which is prolly worse than killing. Rest 20% prolly could survive but whoever finds them prolly think it's not worth the bill, so only 5% either come out without perma damage or get treated because they are important.

Personally, though I liked superheroes that have powers else what is the definition of 'super' superheroes, I think the best superhero isn't the one with power or sophisticated tech, just a mere man with their willpower. And I know, Iron Man would then be on my list of favorite superhero and though my list of favorite characters doesn't include superheroes rather antiheroes like punisher and even some bad characters like John Wick (yes, I said it.), I liked the idea of a mere man trying to do something that no mere man would probably shit themselves in XD.

That Josh Stewart fought the punisher in suspenders is such a gnarly scene hahahaha He has one of those faces, like Jon Bernthal that has so much hidden pain, fury, and above all a consuming drive to win regardless of the outcome.

The Punisher deserves his own squad of Anti-Heros just like the Avengers and Xmen

Out of the entire MCU Netflix tv series... this is the best of them all. The Punisher does not disappoint... so much action and brutal fights... he is only human too... His hands are RATED- E!!!!! FOR EVERYONE!!!!

I absolutely love Bernthal's performance, but it felt like the writers of his solo show were stuck in a loop of what to do with his Punisher. Cos Daredevil season 2 was an origin story where he's a feral, grieving dad and by the end he's got the skull, trench coat and becomes the comic Punisher. Then the Punisher show writers had him give up being the Punisher right at the start and felt the need to tell their own origin story of him finding his family's killers, and wanted to do their own build-up of him finally putting on the skull vest, even though Daredevil had just done that. Then at the start of season 2 he's given up being the Punisher again and the writers had him build-up yet again to embracing the role and becoming the comic Punisher with the trench coat and skull vest, for like the 3rd time. It feels like there was a real reluctance and trepidation with the showrunner/writers to ever go full Punisher and stick with it. Frank talks about "Let me be what I'm meant to be" but the show itself was always hesitant to.

Kinda felt the same, the punisher show on its own was good, but I felt there wasn't enough punishing actually done and as you said they repeated his charactera arcs back story when he'd already found out who he was in daredevil season 2,i think the punisher could have had a few less moments about hunting down his familys killers and maybe hunting down people who do the same to other families to stop people going through what he did /does

@@lostsheep1616 Yeah cos in the comics Frank Castle is a simple character and a lot of the time he's a dropped in observer to random shit he just finds himself in the middle of and decides "I wanna kill them". It's hard to make a tv show about a comic character who mostly knows exactly who he is without much internal struggle. The show tried to give him more conflict about "Do I wanna punish? Do I not?" but in a show that's already too long with a lot of pacing and plot issues, it just becomes frustrating after a while when he's not doing enough punishing. Daredevil had plenty of internal struggle but there was no shortage of ass kicking. The Punisher show always made his enemies too personal to him by making his family's death part of a big government conspiracy instead of just a random gang shootout.

I don't think his character arc was repeated as much as it was drawn out. He became the Punisher in Daredevil Season 2, but by the start of Punisher Season 1 he had fooled himself into thinking his war had ended by way of him taking out all the people he thought to be responsible for his family's death. Towards the end of Punisher Season 1 he finally admitted to himself that the Punisher was who he really was and that his war would never truly end, but only at the end of Punisher Season 2 did he fully embrace being the Punisher by dedicating himself to waging his unending war for good.

They could've ran with a full-blown comic Punisher cos that's what Daredevil season 2 set up, but instead they kept going in circles of finding ways for him to lack direction and purpose. It should not have taken 26 hours of TV plus a season of Daredevil for them to be like "He's finally became the Punisher you know". It's as if the writers set out on a mission to be like "Can we make an interesting story about who this guy is aside from killing?" and I don't think they pulled it off. And in season 1 the plot is literally "Frank, you thought you killed your family's killers? Well there's actually these other guys". And by making his family's death be tied directly into a government conspiracy targeted specifically at him, they made it so I don't see this Punisher as a guy who takes on all violent crime, cos it wasn't random violent crime that killed his family. When he opens fire on the young gang at the end of season 2 you're almost like "Where the hell did this come from?". Cos it doesn't really feel fully in-character for this Frank Castle to do that. They devoted so much time to him being reluctant to punish and going after specific, personal enemies that when he does go full Punisher at the end of season 2 it doesn't ring true. That's how much they couldn't figure out how to write a live-action Punisher, they managed to make full bloodthirsty punishing feel out of character for him.

@@R1ch4d8 The only way they could've written it the way you seem to have wanted them to is if they had just given Frank Castle no character development whatsoever in his show. Characters are boring when they're static. I think they did a fantastic job of allowing the Punisher to be the Punisher while still giving him internal struggles to deal with along the way. If you honestly think the final scene of Punisher Season 2 came out of nowhere, then I really just think you weren't paying enough attention. Edit: Also, tying his family's death to the military via the conspiracy plot was a great idea, as it simultaneously allows the Punisher to be the direct product of both gang violence _and_ our military's failures - two very important aspects of the character's origins in the source material.

The beating on this series are so satfying, it’s a shame Punisher only got 2 seasons.

Always love the ridiculous head movements while fighting in movies and series.

You will be remembered Frank castle . F*** those who canceled this masterpiece.

John bernthal is so intense and brutal in this series as Punisher that u sometimes forget he is just a normal guy with no superpowers. Yes lot of it is exaggerated but John makes it so watchable. I wish we could see more of Punisher. IMO John is the best Punisher. Like someone mentioned in the comments section a team up between Wolverine, Deadpool and Punisher would be awesome and may be add Daredevil as well. All of them are badass.

It’s the amount of pain this guy can handle and dish out is insane always been my fav character from marvel

What made me enjoy the fight scenes was that Frank didn't seem invincible, He legit just ends up being better at every fight skill but he still gets pretty fucked up and it feels he really can lose a fight but he just doesn't and I feel that's what makes a good fight scene.

This video is so great. Gets straight to the point. No time wasted

Imagine The Punisher fighting, Killing and punishing in The Purge' saving those who don't wish to die, wiping out all those who kill probably without mercy' killing all evil there is. Imagine that!

I did find it weird that they spent season 2 with him having a broken hand, when he seemed to heal everything after 1 episode except that hand.

Love the idea that he’s in the MCU - want to see more of Frank but take it to the extreme with him going toe to toe with major villains and winning. He’s ‘just a man’ but really one of the best and most brutal characters for that very reason.

Love watching the Netflix series for this Punisher man. The way Castle fights shows the values that he upholds albeit the vigilante that he is.

He's such an amazing actor. Also the nicest dude in interviews!

Yay, I'm so happy that Disney took the reins away from the people who brought us these actually well choreographed fight scenes and great (s01) or at least middling (s02) plotlines. I'm sure they're not going to ruin the very fabric of Frank Castle's character.

one of the things i always appreciated about daredevil and the punisher, they are badasses but they arent invincible, they are real people so they get injured all the time and those injuries stick around for a decent amount of time

I always find it funny how in the bathroom scene that one guy just shakes his head while Frank is rammin him into the mirror, instead of elbow smashing or anything else. He is just there like "aaaaaaah" and he's supposed to be a fighter...
