Some of them do and I've had it happen to me before. They usually do that to kick the knight from f6 and if you just develop instead of playing Nd4, d5 (the only move), you're already lost.

I usually play pawn to d3 and push the bishop to g5.

This is very valuable information if you're low rated. If you're higher rated, no one ever does this opening.

Why does this look like a possible traxler counterattack mate

Knight to h 3 when he moves the bishop because your defending that pawn where they are threatening mate, and it’s difficult for the opponent to take the knight, long enough for you to get there queen away

I still get games where they try a scholars mate. I’m 1200-1300 rated and same with them. I like knight h6 sometimes but depends on the position.

But then they lose a queen for a bishop. You may not get mate right away but it's very likely with the King trapped and unable to castle.

There are a bunch of lines just like this in the book The Wayward Queen: The Final Word.

I've played with an AI who always does this and mofo pisses me off everytime

That's not Scholar's Mate, though it is mate with a defended queen.

I get tons of scholars mate players if I dip into 850-1000 elo. A lot of the moves here come naturally to them because they're singularly focused on one single outcome. The g pawn move is kind of a stretch though because it involves moving a piece that isn't either the bishop or the queen.

If it's Nelson, Bc5, Qxe5+, Qe7, Qxg2, Qh4, Qxh1, Qxf2+, Kd1 (forced), Qg1# checkmate

I was searching for it frm 10 days vd came to me randomly ❤❤❤😢 now j can beat nelson

what? at no point was that even a possibility here (I assume you mean e5, e4 makes even less sense). He tells you in the first 3 seconds to protect e5 with Nc6
