Little Mac is genuinely terrifying if you think about it. He has beaten a guy who can take the full force of a bull attack. A man who can outrun trains. I like how the WVBA doesn’t care about. Disco Kid and Hondo is the only opponents I genuinely feel bad for beating up. Like, Disco Kid is just trying to live his life dancing. And Hondo is such a normal fighter, and he even bows. Mad respect.

@@nehuenrivas4891 As far as I know, it's simply because he doesn't trust Mac while directly on the mat. In his Contender intro, he bows while looking down, as usual in social contexts, and even introduces himself by name in an old-timey way roughly translating to "This humble one is named Hondo!". He's honestly just a swell guy, but he (rightfully) doesn't trust Mac. Landing a Star Punch while he's bowing already knocks him down instantly, and it can be assumed he knows so. If he were to look down, that'd be a blow right on the nose-and that would HURT, even with boxing gloves on.

I was really hoping for the crowd to be chanting "D-K, DONKEY-KONG!"

It took me 10 years to realize that Soda Popinski's uppercuts are intended to be rocket launches.

The changes between each fighter in Title Defense. Glass Joe: Has headgear which protects him from head attacks. Can also delay attacks. Von Kaiser: Doesn’t cry for mommy anymore. Has one hit KO attack. Actively dodges Star Punches. Disco Kid: Not much has changed, however he doesn’t taunt as much as he does in his Minor circuit variation. King Hippo: New manhole cover requires that you hit it repeatedly to expose his belly. Piston Hondo: Delays attacks. Dodges Star Punches. A lot faster. Bear Hugger: Delayed attacks only happen when he uses his squirrel friend. Sometimes fakes attacks. 3-Star Punch is a instant Knockdown. Great Tiger: The lights from his jewel signal where he will be. Has a super move where he attacks with clones before spinning like a top. Don Flamenco: Dodges Star Punches. A little faster. Aran Ryan: Has a new rope which he uses time to time, even when knocked down. Soda Popinski: Not much has changed, however you can get more stunned hits on him if you dodge a lot. Bald Bull: Will not be knocked down if you hit his gut during a Bull Charge. Can only be knocked down by Star Punch. Super Macho Man: Occasionally can Release The Bogus. Or Crunch it. Or Pump it. Mr. Sandman: Is a lot faster. After being knocked down a second time, he can initiate a “Winking Punch” mode, where all he does are Winking Punches. Dodging them all will leave him defenseless. Winking Punches do a lot more damage. Dodges Star Punches. If I missed something let me know. Or don’t. IDC. You missed something about bald bull, he can only be knocked down by using star punch, if you try to knock him down using a normal punch, he will do the same thing as when he his punched during the bull charge, and for Soda Popinski, the more you dodge him, the more you can hits him after he being stunned. That's all I had to say

Disco Kid doesn't taunt as much and changes up the tells for his punches. And for Bear Hugger, the tell for delays and fake-outs comes from the squirrel atop his hat. Also, if he's stunned and three star punched he will automatically fall to the mat regardless of health, one and two star punches turn him around so you can hit his face for more damage.

This is always how I imagine Little Mack, I do think he would struggle a bit with the Title Defense but the way Speedrunners play this game makes the most sense, such crushing victories that his opponents vow to destroy him

Fun facts about each character! Glass joe: He sings the French national anthem in the beginning cutscene. Von Kaiser: The battlecry he says in his opening cutscene translates to "COMBAT BOOTS!" Disco Kid: He is the only fighter to change battle animations from contender to title defence. King Hippo: Even though it looks comical, you would fall down instantly if you were punched in the liver like he was. Piston Hondo: His in-between rounds of dialouge are all proverbs. Bear Hugger: His teeth get knocked out when you send him down the first time in contender. In title defence, his teeth don't get knocked out until the second time you knock him down Great Tiger: He tells little mac to go home and drink his mother's milk in an in-between rounds dialouge. Don Flamenco: The black rose in title defence actually signifies never finding love. Aran Ryan: When knocked down, he will always get up on the number 7 Soda Popinski: He was originally called Vodka Drunkinski but it was changed due to legal reasons. Bald Bull: He is the only fighter to say his name in English rather than his native language. Macho Man: You can see Carmen (the girl who Don gave the rose to) hanging out with macho man. What makes it worse is that she still had Don's rose in her shirt pocket. Sandman: In title defence, he gets a yee-yee ass haircut. Dk: Originally, the guest fighter was going to be princess peach but for legal reasons, DK was used instead. Edit: added DK

I love the fact that Donkey Kong is in the audience most of the fights, somebody paid to get tickets to this match and they’re sat next to a fucking gorilla that’s 3 times their size who just silently watches and doesn’t react at all. Also the fact he gets closer and closer is terrifying

Hondo being the humblest, considering he values a good fight and shows honor (In spite of his visible skepticism towards Mac, with how he glances at him during a bow), Glass Joe being a total whelp who knows what's coming to him, Disco was down in the dumps, but recovered after takin up Boxercising. He really learned to box, WITH STYLE And Bear Hugger just seems to have fun, no matter what. I mean, he absolutely loves that lil squirrel stuffed in his touque
