Pump Sprayer Air Pump/Valve Stem MOD

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Had to give this a try and I can confirm it works GREAT !! if you're using these pump sprayers enough to justify bothering with this "mod" than I say it's totally worth your time and the small amount of money needed !!
Valve Stems: (you can get these anywhere)

You mention other videos, I saw them to which led me here. Even though I saw a few before yours, I still liked your a lot. What the other ones are missing are the details and the thinking out loud problem solving and ideas you have here. Nice job, very helpful.

Would be cautious with rubber valve stems the pressure could deform the plastic shooting that stem out. Would personally use valve stems that have a mechanical fastener to further reinforce the interface. Good video and idea brother👍.

I've been doing this for years but I use my air compressor to fill it up. I like the idea of attaching a portable rechargeable pump. On a 2 gallon sprayer I may need to refill it 2-3 times. That's not a big deal when I'm at home.

You could implement some wearable gear [like a backpack?] to provide the pump a measure of protection from water and to facilitate its relative proximity to the sprayer. Remove the pump's hose and either replace it [and it fitting(s)] with an appropriate length hose [i.e., backpack-to-sprayer length chosen for comfort] or simply add a length of hose between the sprayer and the existing hose [thus preserving the fitting at the end].

This is very interesting. What spray tip do you all recommend to switch out on the end of a general lowes 2 gallon pump sprayer that will extend the range of the spray and also be sturdy?

Ryobi makes a pump that uses their 18V One battery that I am planning on trying with my backpack sprayer. Not sure if it will work but not much of a downside.

Did the rubber stem continue to work without issue? Or would you recommend one that uses a screw system? Im wondering if i should send it on drilling a hole in my IK Multi Pro 2.

Poke a small hole, on the husqvarna one, pull out the black rubber hose, and poke a hole in the plastic black hose connected to it, the hold has to be 1 inch from where you screw the fitting on, then, get some scotch brite pads, cut em up and put them on the tip of the husqvarna garden sprayer and use foaming soap, works just as good as the IK 9 or 12

I bet that pressure relief with pop when hits it’s limit 40-60 max? Need a gauge cap top if don’t need pump. The failure point will be pump before high pressure. I thought red thing was pressure safety relief in case someone puts organic sod fuel in there pumps it to dangerous pressure. What’s cap size threading for tiny one and female threaded ones looks like if cut top off neck could screw on a lid, put gauge safety at top more volume, they sell pressure pump tanks no? Someone’s building vacuum or pressure vessel ran chamber. PVC tank DIY can withstand insane pressure.

jeepers creepers lol this video is three years old lol I get hundreds of comments per week on every video from my old ones to my newest so comments can and do go unseen it's not easy when this is just a small hobby for me lol the drill bit size honestly depends on the side of the valve stem you have .. I've never met a person that had just ONE drill bit .. more often than not a person will have a drill bit set .. if someone can't judge enough what size drill bit they should be using in relation to the size of the stem than I personally think that they shouldn't be owning or using a drill bit because it's likely an unsafe situation lol have a great day!
