    Thanks! I made the leap as Puma has a great return policy. I’m a slower runner, and absolutely love this shoe. Find it very comfortable and feels stable.

    Thanks for the review. I look forward to your reviews as you pay for your shoes vs being gifted them by the brands. I trust your feedback. 👍

    Thanks for watching! Though I wouldn’t mind if more companies comped me some shoes! 😉

    @@colindittmer. I guess that does limit the customizability. Having run it for a couple of races and a few workouts now though, I can’t say I’ve thought about it.

    Great review, how do you compare the V1 to V3? I found V1 to narrow for me in the midfoot.. Like a Takumi Sen..

    I don’t find them too narrow in the midfoot. Maybe the V3 has a little more room than the V1. I think there’s more room in the v3 than there is in the Takumi Sen 8. I run in the v1 and v3 side by side at 10:00 on the video.

    Fantastic review and Shoes Off. Query: Good to know you prefer Deviate Elite 3 vs Hoka X2. How do you compare Deviate Elite 3 bounce & energy in comparison to Adidas Adios Pro 3? Thanks!!!!!

    Thanks for watching. Clarification: I actually would prefer the Hoka Rocket X 2 for races longer than 15k, but I prefer the Deviate Nitro Elite 3 for 15k and under. However, the more I’ve been running in the Puma since this review, the more it has opened up. I might have to do a follow-up to see if I think it could handle some longer things. As far as vs the Adios Pro 3, I think there very little crossover in use case scenario. I would only reach for the adidas when racing a half marathon or marathon (or 50k, which I used it for in January). The Puma is a lot lighter and bouncier, and the adidas is more of a cruiser. As far as workouts, I’d use the Puma for shorter, faster reps and the adidas for long tempo runs or marathon pace runs, but I could use either for threshold workout.

    do you think for low cadence runner would be difficult to adapt to this shoe?

  • @thecaptainchas2820

    @thecaptainchas2820

    That’s a good question. I think it encourages and rewards a higher cadence. However, there are runners with larger frames and longer legs who have enjoyed this shoe (Edd Bud comes to mind). I think the experience might be different for a low cadence runner, but that might be that a higher impact leads to more compression response. That’s only a hypothesis, so I would be curious to hear others’ experiences.

    Do you have any plans on reviewing the Hyperion Max 2?

  • @thecaptainchas2820

    @thecaptainchas2820

    Not at the moment. I’m honestly skeptical of them beefing up the midsole and adding a plate. I thought the HypMax1 had a pretty good formula going. But the Hyperion 2 (non-max) looks like it might be a good replacement for the OG HypMax. We’ll see. I think Brooks is falling behind in the midsole game at the moment.

    @@thecaptainchas2820 Yea I agree. I was a big fan of the Hyperion max 1. I am disappointed with fact that they added a plate, plus the midsole seems like the shoe may have loss some of it's quick turnover and may be too "bouncy" for me....smh

    Did u find them a bit longer/more roomy than ur Paris Edge?

  • @thecaptainchas2820

    @thecaptainchas2820

    8 күн бұрын

    Longer, yes. More roomy…not necessarily. They still have a taper to the forefoot which would make them pretty snug for a wide foot. I guess there’s more volume overall, but that’s mainly just some extra space in from for the first two toes. I would still go true to size.
