I have enjoyed 1 and 2 is my current fave. I own 3 pairs. Going to try this one for sure! I skipped the elite 2 but the elite 3 looks good too.

That is an excellent review. Thanks. It also feels more stable than the previous version, possibly because it feels denser. Edit: I ran for the third time in it this morning here in Munich. I'm not loving the heel lockdown. I have the Velocity 3s and love the heel lockdown, but the heel on the Deviate 3s feels less snug and too roomy for my liking. I don't use the runner's knot because I have never needed it, but I will use it with these to see if it makes a difference. I'm also not sure that shark fin external heel counter does much, but it doesn't irritate. I will post an update after the changes.

I go by my jp size, 28cm, it's works better for me than US/UK/EU sizing which are random depending on brand

I am going to chose between this and the Adizero SL 2 for my next everyday trainer. At last some options with a bit of pop in the step and a bit of speed. Like the Rebel used to be.

More footwork with the SL2, more assistance with this. Far better grip in the PUMA, which will of course matter depending on the conditions you run in

Would you recommend this shoe for a “beginner” runner debuting on marathon, she has done half marathons, but I’m not sure she needs a super show right know, I’m leaning forward to recommend the Adistar BYD from your review, or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks

Deviate 3 is nothing short of impressive but do pick up the 2. Deviate 2 prices are dropping insanely left and right at the moment!

some other reviewers have complained about the heel counter any issues? also narrowness in the arch causing issues? i know in the velocity nitro 3 that was an issue too

I would love to ask a Puma rep on camera why their shoe lasts are consistently narrower than most other brands and why they don't launch the Wide versions alongside the Regular fittings.

It's frustrating being a wide footer. The entire adizero range, most nike shoes, all of saucony's toe boxes, all of puma's shoes and all of salomon's shoes are made with narrower feet in mind. If the shoe gods bless us with a wide version of a shoe, it will never be discounted and will be hard to find in stock in the first place

@@MadLadsAnonymous over last couple of years, new iterations of shoes have been getting wider and wider it needs to stop, manufacturers claim it aids stability, rubbish just makes them heavier and slower

Tried elite 3 this morning, feel… not that good as DN 2 even😢

I heard nitro foam is now peba, and elite is the a tpu

I think that wasn't true. At least as what the runtester's review have said. This version still uses the TPEE nitro and Peba nitro elite which isn't the same as what the new deviate elite and fast R are using.

Is this good for a HEAVY runner?😅 I’m 95 kg for context

@@AlexFilittiyour thumbnails just comes off as similar to the generic clickbait ones from influencers with a wide audience. Having the shoe on the thumbnail like believe in the run or yowana is good enough!
