*** Why Hunt Hogs? ***
Our journey into wild/feral hog hunting started like many others living in rural communities. We didn't start hog hunting for fun or sport... we did it because we had to. You see, hogs cause millions of dollars of damage and destruction each year in rural communities and our situation was no different. Hogs were destroying our land and that our of friends and family. The vast majority of hunting stories that you hear about on this channel are hogs, boars and sows, taken from family land... this problem is personal for us...

*** Why Hunt Coyotes and Predators? ***
Coyotes and Predators, similar to hogs, cause financial stress for many families in rural communities. Coyotes kill livestock, plain and simple. Ranchers have battled coyotes killing cattle since the early days of ranching and it costs them dearly. Cattle ranching is a business, the cows aren't pets, every time they lose a calf to a coyote those families lose a paycheck. Cattle ranchers hate coyotes just as much as Farmers hate hogs! We hunt coyotes to protect the livelihood of our friends and neighbors that depend on their cattle business to feed their family...

Yessir John!
Makes me giggle when I hear a Texas hunter talk about base mag for hunting coyote's. Here in Nevada we need higher base mag, it's hard to find when the market is curved around pig hunting, but that's were the market is. I use a Thermion XM 50 with base mag of 5.5 and use every bit of it. We hunt valley that are 10 miles wide, call in dogs 2000 yards away, with our very low humidity, we see them come in every inch of the way. Just wish they had one model around for us real long range guy's. Great review, great vid.

Thank you for watching! Around here in East Texas, 200 yards might as well be a mile... hahaha!

Missing a huge piece of information, is the footage 384 model or 640?!

There is no 640 resolution XQ50! I said in the video that this was a 384 resolution scope, sorry that you missed that. All XQ’s are 384 resolution, XP and XG are 640 resolution. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏻 A lot of people get confused by the XQ’s, XP’s, and XG’s, but don’t be embarrassed, happens all the time!
What's the difference with this and the xp50 Lrf thnx

Thank you Hans, I just pick the 300 prc out of the blues. I just figure if it stand up to the recoil ,it handle anything smaller.
I'm new to the thermal world but curious if you have the LRF does that adjust rectical accordingly by range?

Since you really want to let us know what's coming from pulsar.... Is there something coming with better image quality than this at the same price point with the same magnification?
@matthewfisher9352

The minimal quality issues is because of the recording. It's so much clearer in person.
I have an opportunity to get a Thermion XG50 for $3500. Would you choose the Thermion 2 XQ50 Pro or the XG50 for that money?

@@HansETX ok, that's good to know....another question then: Thermion 2 XQ50 Pro or Iray Bolt TL35 v2?

Hey buddy, I own a XG50 and while the scope I own now seems to be working well, it took 3 attempts to get one that functioned properly. 1st one I ordered came with a defective internal shutter, the second one died after the first shot when I was attempting to zero it. Finally, after paying 130 dollars in shipping, I got my third XG50 in hands and it, so far, has functioned well. I like the 3x base mag on it, however, the XG uses technology that isn’t normal to Pulsar. There is a marked difference in quality control. If I were you I would pay a little more and go with the XQ or even save a little more and get the pro model thermion. Good luck buddy and hope you find what you’re looking for.

@@alexsmith2634 thanks for the reply! At the end of last month I bought an XG50 for $3500 on closeout. I thought getting a Pulsar 640 for that price was a steal. After about 1 hour of use my shutter went out. The dealer I purchased from is going to give me a full refund so now I have the ability to go any direction I want. I wanted to see if maybe I just got a lemon and the XG50 was still the best bang for the buck at that price. My buddy just about has me sold on an Iray Bolt TL35 V2. I was wondering how much clarity and field of view I'll lose compared to the XG50. So I'm torn between the TL35 V2, the XQ50 Pro and the XG50.
