I just got an XG and compared to a buddies Thermion2 XP 50 LRF, I believe through the eye piece it’s even more noticeable that the XG is better for the way we hunt Travis’s knowledge and customer service is second to NONE and will be who I recommend to all my hunting buddies Eric

Very, very informative video. I had the old xg50. I have now a thermion2 xp50 pro. I think i want the LRF. Very close decision on these for sure. This is a tough one. I have spoke to Travis on the phone, he is very easy to talk to.

Do you let your xg models sensors warm few minutes up before officially using?

I was at a recent importer demonstration of the full Pulsar range. The weather was distinctly foul with windy rainy misty conditions prevailing. As I’d watched this video I went with the intention of buying the XG50 LRF but looking through the various devices including the XL my immediate impression was that the XP in those particular conditions, often sustained in Scotland ,was better for clarity at the range to a wood some 155yds distant. Unfortunately now that I’ve got it mounted and trying to use in the field I’m beginning to think that it’s not really suitable for the longer ranges I’ve to shoot at, as the definition I’d believed was available, just isn’t, hence I’m wondering if the demo models are tweaked by Pulsar for marketing purposes, but the normal purchase boxed and sealed which I bought that night are to a lesser specification easier to manufacture on a production basis? There just isn’t the clarity for my nearly 80 year old eyes despite being blessed with good vision compared with my latest HIK Thunder 2 clip on and especially my Infiray MAH50 MATE which I rate against even my Tube Infiray TH50 V2 and then there’s the huge price difference charged by Pulsar I’ve still got an XM50 bought on the recommendation of Trevor many moons ago viewing a similar type video comparison. With its high base Mag it’s pretty good. I’m surprised the XG isn’t offered with
