പണ്ട് അച്ചേ ആയിട്ട് പോയതാ ഈ വഴിയിൽ അന്ന് നടക്കാൻ വയ്യാ എന്നാലും കുട്ടി ആയതുകൊണ്ട് അയ്യപ്പൻ വഴക്ക് പറയും oruth നടന്നു 🥰🥰🥰 ഇപ്പം അവിടെ എല്ലാം ഇങ്ങനെ കാണാൻ ഭാഗ്യം കിട്ടി ഉള്ളിൽ വെഷമം ഉണ്ട് 🥰🥰😴 ഇങ്ങനെ എങ്കിലും കാണാൻ പറ്റിയല്ലോ നന്ദി 🙏🙏

1990 മുതൽ ഈ വഴി മുടങ്ങാതെ ശബരിമല യാത്ര നടത്തുന്ന ആളാണ് ഞാൻ. കഴിഞ്ഞ 4 വർഷമായി ഇത് വഴി അനുവാദം ഇല്ലാത്തതിനാൽ പോകുവാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നില്ല ...ഇത് വഴി ഒരുപക്ഷെ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ തവണ യാത്ര ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ള ആൾ ഞാനായിരിക്കും ... മറക്കാനാവാത്ത നിരവധി അനുഭവങ്ങൾ ...തന്നിട്ടുള്ള യാത്രകൾ ...ഈ വര്ഷം അടുത്ത ദിവസം തന്നെ അത് വഴി വരുന്നുണ്ട്.. സ്വാമിയേ ശരണം അയ്യപ്പാ....

സ്വാമി ശരണം.... 2010മുതൽ 17വരെ അടിപ്പിച്ചു 8വർഷം ഈ പാത വഴി പോകാൻ ഉള്ള ഭാഗ്യ ഉണ്ടായി.... ഇനിയും ഭഗവാൻ അനുഗൃഹിച്ചാൽ......

വള്ളക്കടവ് - കോഴിക്കാനം - പുല്ലുമേട് - പൂങ്കാവനം വഴി, അഞ്ചുപ്രാവശ്യം മലചവിട്ടാനുള്ള ഭാഗ്യം അയ്യൻ എനിക്കുതന്നിരുന്നു 🙏🙏🙏 എല്ലാപ്രാവശ്യവും അയ്യന്റെ ഭൂതഗണങ്ങളെ ( വനത്തിന്റെ അധിപരായ മൃഗങ്ങളെ ) കാണാൻ സാധിച്ചു. ഒരിക്കൽ പൂങ്കാവനത്തിൽ വച്ച് ഏതാണ്ട് ഒരു കാൽ കിലോമീറ്ററിനുള്ളിൽ( 250 മീറ്റർ ) കടുവയുടെ ഗർജ്ജനം കേട്ടു, നേരിട്ട് കണ്ടില്ല. ഒരിക്കലും മറക്കാൻ സാധിക്കാത്ത മനോഹരമായ ഓർമ്മകൾ. 🙏🙏🙏ശരണമയ്യപ്പ 🙏🙏🙏

ഇതിലേ 8 വർഷം മുമ്പ് ഞാനും സുഹൃത്തും കൂടെ പോയിട്ടുണ്ട് അന്ന് 20 പേര് ആണ് മൊത്തം ഈ വഴി പോയത് ഈ പാത തുറന്ന തുടക്കത്തിൽ ആയിരുന്നു ... ഇതിലേ വരുന്നവർക്ക് ക്യൂ ഇല്ലാതെ നേരേ പതിനെട്ടാം പടി ചവിട്ടാമായിരുന്നു അന്ന് ഇപ്പോൾ എങ്ങനാ!?.

No problem with selfie stick and all. Don't forget that it is a pilgrimage route, not tourist spot. Forest canteen is there inside forest, ull get kanji and chappathi. Terrain is somewhat difficult for the last 6 km

From kumily, got to vandiperiyar. It's just 15 km away, and it is situated in highway itself. It's a small town, ull get food and small accommodation there. From vandiperiyar, catch an auto/Jeep or bus to sathram. It's abt 12 km. Sathram is a dead end point. There is a parking ground near sathram temple, so that u can park vehicle if ur coming in ur own vehicle.

Swamy Saranam .. Swamy how is the root now.. Any directions on the route if we forgot.. A few years back I went.. Where we can bathe while going is there water flow near Satram .. I don't know malayam didn't understand .. From Hyderabad .. Where we can park our car in Vendiperiyar. While returning from sabarimala so that we can pick up from vendiperiyar.

Till sathram, u don't have to worry about route. Directions are displayed in road. Google map will also workout. Near satram temple, washrooms are there. Water streams are also there. There is a big parking ground in satram, where u can safely park ur car. After entering forest area, u just have to follow walking path. There was some confusion for us, inside forest, since the walking route is not clear bcz it is used by pilgrims after 2 years. Since 3 weeks are over, the path will be clear now. Also, forest guards will also assist, if help required. Wishing u a safe pilgrimage, Swami saranam

രാവിലെ 7 മുതൽ ഉച്ച 2 വരെ. ഇടയ്ക്ക് നിന്നിരുന്ന് കാട് ആസ്വദിച്ച് പോകുമ്പോൾ 5 - 6 മണിക്കൂറാകും. hardcore നടത്തമാണെങ്കിൽ 4 മണിക്കൂർ ok ആണ് . ചെരുപ്പിടാം.

പുലർച്ചെ കോട്ടയം KSRTC stand ൽ ഇറങ്ങുക. 5 മണിക്ക് കുമളി ബസുണ്ട് , അതിൽ കയറി വണ്ടിപ്പെരിയാർ ഇറക്കുക (~ 3 മണിക്കൂർ). അവിടെ നിന്ന് ഓട്ടോ പിടിച്ച് സത്രത്തിലെത്തുക (300 രൂപ).

സത്രത്തിൽ പാർക്കിങ് ഗ്രൗണ്ട് ഉണ്ട്. തിരികെ വരാമെന്നാണ് ഫോറസ്റ്റുകാർ പറഞ്ഞു. പക്ഷേ സന്നിധാനത്തു നിന്ന് തിരികെ പിറ്റേന്നേ വരാൻ പറ്റൂ എന്നുമാത്രം.

From sathram, walking will start. The trek route goes through pullumedu and deep forest, and finally reach sannidhanam. Total walking distance is around 15 km

Is there any bathroom or hotel near Satram check post for freshen up Or we have to freshen up from vandiperiyar

Its a tiger reserve. All animals are there Plenty of elephants are also there. We felt there presense and smell at many spots. But we never saw anyone. 2 times we saw snake.

കുമളി പോകുന്ന വഴി, ദേശീയപാതയിൽ വണ്ടിപ്പെരിയാർ സ്റ്റോപ്പ് ഉണ്ട്. അവിടെ നിന്ന് തിരിഞ്ഞ് 12 km പോകണം സത്രത്തിലെത്താൻ. ഒരു തോട്ടം മേഖലയാണ്. റൂമുകളൊന്നും ഇല്ല

From Kottayam, catch kumily bus, get down at vandiperiyar town (approx. 3hr). Take an auto or Jeep to sathram (13 km, 300 rs). But now forest route is closed and it will be opened on next makarajyothi season only.
