Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Transmission codes? How do you pull codes on your automatic transmission? In this video we cover how to pull the blink codes on your Eaton Ultrashift 13 speed automatic. This is technically called the MHP-13 if you have heard that term. Below are the sections in this video if you want to jump to certain parts.
0:58 Pulling Active Codes
1:40 Pulling Inactive Codes
2:56 What are the Codes?
Hopefully that helps you figure out your problem and possibly get moving. Thanks for watching!

Unfortunately new drivers suck at driving stick and i’m getting lazy. But this will come in handy for my future auto peterbilt purchases. Thank you for the post!

Code 27- probably one of coil springs is broken in clutch Code 64- shifter stucked at neutral. Code 71- is transmission fault by itself. When mechanics remove if clutch is really bad they will check shifter also , if you have to replace both it costs around 7500-8500$ . That’s painful process, takes time . Then mostly fault code 71 will gone . If not there is hidden problem on transmission . Good luck everyone

In the video it shows you code 27 is clutch disengagement. My guess is it would be one of the fingers on the clutch is broken which is not easily fixed

you're gonna see issues regarding speed sensors (input, intermediate and tail shaft). issues related to rack position (which is also detected by sensors). issues with the rack itself, worn out and loose mechanical moving parts underneath the x-y actuator assembly. wiring harness rot and deterioration, the actual actuators themselves. best scenario is retrieving codes, determining which are- what we call- hard{current faults) then being able to read what the TCM is reading. has nothing to do with the driver, anybody can mash the gas pedal, has everything to with the shop personnel knowing what they're looking at..

When you get PD that means Product Diagnostic mode. That means you did the wrong number of key turns. I think I covered that in the video?

Company that I work for bought 6 t880 with those eaton automatic transmissions. The thing is a piece of junk, so rough to ride, no driver last more than 3 months driving it.

They certainly aren't as good as the newer auto transmissions.

In my case it ended up being a defective clutch fork design that required a complete new clutch. Eaton figured out the problem years ago but there were about 6 weeks of trucks that were affected by this. If your truck was built in Nov-Dec of '17 then it may have the same issue.

@@1905ny Are you saying you did fix it or need to know how to fix it? In our case it required towing to the shop because the fingers on the clutch broke and stopped things from being able to engage.

@@1905ny It was a new clutch. That is what we had to do to fix it.
