The best to both of you. Many blessings
If that's not a revised part it'll fail again. There's a place in grand rapids, mi that peterbilt uses that rebuilds them for $800. The circuit board inside was made poorly. It used to give me transmission fault and not allow the transmission to shift when you put it in manual mode going up and down mountains. You had to pull over and reset the truck to reset it.

Take a piece of paper place on top of socket push the screw driver bit into place. It will work also on bolts that keeps falling out of a socket. Old mechanic showed me this trick years ago,

I use a bit of masking or painters tape to hold a couple of screws onto screwdriver for a very inaccessible location when reinstalling the cowling cover over wiper motors on my old car.
Martin, you found a small Sasquatch under there with all that hair😂😂😂

Martin you da man!!!!! I love watching you work on the tractors. The stuff you have learned over the years. I would have loved to have learned what you have learned in your life time so far on maintenance with the units. It probably would have kept me out there. Your one of the old school drivers. I take my hat off to ya. I like how you talk and show how it’s done. Great video. Have a safe and a great day. Hopefully soon both you and Alice will be pounding the highways again.
Enjoyed the video. You are one heck of good mechanic.😊😊😊😊

I lov e it "not a dust cover" but a "dog hair shield" 😂😂lmao iykyk
Cool video man 👍
Great video. Good lesson on what might be lurking under the dash of our trucks. With that much dog hair I hope you have changed the recirculation filter for the air conditioning. Be safe and best wishes.
You are great teacher you already saved someone $150 +😊
Nice Job !
Watching this ,I am grateful for working on 359,s and w900
great Video
Great video yall i pray l never have to change one. I'm a 18 speed kinda guy lol. Yall take care be safe 🙏.
Heck, I'm gonna be able to build a Peterbuilt from scratch pretty quick! You would make a pretty damn good tech school teacher there Martin! But I think you're probably like a lot of us. I'd rather drive. Be safe and hang in there. Something will come up. (You could ditch Cali and head out here to Wyoming Or Montana.) There's still work to be had for drivers like you two! Take care!!
Martin- Did you watch a You-tube video about how to replace that shifter? Glad it worked. Save the manuals. JM
Alice, Martin.... for sure with that much long dust catchin dog hair up under the cowling..... be double sure to replace your cab air filter and under bunk filter... As well as check the air intakes for recircled air

@@TruckingTogether Outstanding!! those darn dog hairs get in every book n cranny in a closed environment!
Martin, please be careful, using wood blocks to support your truck is so dangerous, years ago as a part time fireman, I had to attend a garage where a guy had his car up on wood blocks, the blocks moved and I and another had to scrap him off the bottom of the car, please use proper stands, stay safe, great vlogs Alice keep him safe, regards John
@JohnHallgren

But I believe that most cars don’t have enough room to be under it without some lifting up while it looks like one can be under these trucks without any added height so the blocks simply give a bit extra room to operate in. Of course that might depend on the body size of the person working on it, but think Martin would still be safe. A video on another channel for a wrecker operator is where there was a similar message. He said even if it dropped, he would have enough room but blocks made it more comfortable to do the work.
I think my truck needs this replaced. I never have this problem while driving it will do it when I go to start it and won't start. Usually cycle the key several times and it will start. And is random. Not every time
Cant wait to watch Martin fix Tiny in a 20min video...LOL, that would require alot of editing. This trans sel sw is just like replacing the Multi-Func Switch on your F-Series. Ive replaced MANY of those.....

The overhanl should be cover by warranty if it was done at authorized cummins dealer, it used to be when i work there and any cummins recon parts that were used should have porgrssive warrant on them, you know like recon liner kits rods etc.@@TruckingTogether
Perhaps Alice is moulting send her too Brazil 😆 🤣 😂
You might want to change the fresh air filter while you have it apart I'll bet you there's a ton of dog hair on it.😮
What did you put around the column that looks like it would keep dust out 😆
I wouldn’t know how to drive that .🙁 13 or 18 speed for me .👍
I’ll keep my manual. Any regrets yet? Love the channel keeper truckin! FJB
