He's so cute! Proof that pugs CAN swim. But should always be supervised in water, of course. It's nice to see a pug that's allowed to be athletic and not overweight. He looks healthy and happy. I love this! : )

i have 4 total, same home. pool. 2 would go in. first step. one would chase me. and there dead 14yrs. . i have a new one , jesus gave me a weasel. 8 moths now. i swear jesus gave me a new dog! makes you forget everything! you come alive!

@@davidheitman7004 my beloved jordan died in September. He was my life, my baby. I had to get another dog to ease the pain. Gigi is a Frenchie and she is completely different. She loves the beach and is fearless. She helps very much with the grief.

Yes they can swim very well if provided a safe learning experience with a life jacket. We trained our pugs (we had a swimming pool) not just to swim, but to know what direction to swim to in order to get to the steps to get out when they wanted to. They eventually didn't need the life jackets when they were accustomed to getting in the pool, but always would know where to go to walk out of it safely. Three issues I must point out about Pugs swimming. 1. Never leave them unattended, keep your eyes on them and enjoy their fun, just be ready to help if needed. 2. They are strong but have ventilation issues with the short snout, they don't have stamina. So don't let them swim to long and especially to far from your rescue. 3. NEVER! NEVER! let them swim in unsafe waters with potential microbes or alligators such as in Florida. If you lose your beloved pug from any of these points, you will burn in heII .
