I've done some reading and it's likely not real gold, although a possibility.
Жүктеу.....

That is a rocking awesome Pudding Stone Up North Outdoors, very nice! And I see those spots, it does look like gold, I think if you take a pin and do a scratch test that might tell you, if it's gold it will feel like soft metal and leave a groove, if it's mica it should scratch but leave some dust and will feel harder. Hope this helps, thanks for showing us.

I see the gold. What a gorgeous pudding stone. Use a polyurethane finish. Like 2 coats of clear coat and it will make all that color pop. It won’t hurt the stone.

They are all over northern Michigan. Farm field rock piles and beaches are probably your best bet.

Lake Huron side of Michigan/ The farther north you go, the more agate-y they seem to be. If you go the UP--sorry--Upper Peninsula--you will find great agates, maybe a Yooperlite or two; they glow in the dark, so go after sunset. For a real thrill, take a UV flashlight.

Are you 100% sure it's gold and not mica? I have also found stuff that I was sure it was gold/ruby/sapphire until I was really good at telling what was what.
