I think the saddest thing is to think that in the last seconds of his life he thought that he had failed, not only because of seeing his daughter and her companions bleeding to death but also knowing that they were the last option to stop Puchi, perhaps even before dying he regretted not spending more time with his daughter.

This is actually rather interesting. All the characters died the same way the Crusaders did. Only in reverse. Anastasia died via Human Donut just like Kakyoin only instead of taking it from the front, he was stabbed in the back. Ermes' died like Avdol, losing her arms. Yet her body still remains. Jotaro died just like dio only the wound on his face is on the opposite side. And Jolyne died like Iggy. Stalling the enemy and saving her friend before using her power to help Emporio escape. Just like how Iggy used his stand to save Polnaref from Vanilla Ice and Cream and died from his wounds.

Jotaro's time stop has been an overwhelming advantage for 3 whole parts, everyone talks about him like he's the scariest thing ever, because he is! Jotaro ultimately being undone because he is human, because he loves his daughter, is the most amazing end to his character arc there could ever be. I love this scene so much.

I think alot of people get caught up with how easily Jotaro gets killed and dont actually realize Pucci respected Jotaro's abilities. He very clearly goes out of his way to avoid direct confrontation and does as much as possible to waste Timestop. These arent the actions of someone who underestimates their opponent.

What’s crazier is that they would have won, and Pucci knew that. So, he had to use the weakness of Jotaro: his daughter. It’s amazing. Pucci was the strongest Stand User at that moment (minus Giorno), and yet still had to strategise around Star Platinum.

What ticks me off though is the fact that Jotaro could've killed Pucci easily during the end of the C Moon fight where he gets punched into the glass frame that he levitates with. It is a legitimate plot hole that I've never seen anyone address. Some people may say oh Jotaro doesn't kill or whatever which normally is true, but not even a few seconds later he tries to kill Pucci with the harpoon so there was no reason for Jotaro not to punch Pucci's head off or blow a hole in him then and there.

@@durndychris3254 He can stop time for 5 seconds yes, but the time acceleration speeds it up by an unknown amount so it's really less than 5 seconds realistically when he uses it for the final 2 times

Fun fact: after watching part 6, you realize that Jotaro and Weather report never met.

For those who are wondering: - Josuke and the Morioh gang can't do shit in this because they have no idea what's happening nor have any idea who Pucci is. So they can't help. - Giorno also can't do shit. While GER can trace the source of any threats, it only works when the threat is directed at him. So he and the gang are also out. - Joseph is probably on his deathbed. So not even his mischievousness can help.

Joseph is apparently a little worse than he was in Part 4. Around this time, Josuke and the gang are about to hit their 30s, so they probably had other priorities without interruption. People say that Giorno was last seen in Florida which is an odd speculation, but yeah, I don’t see him involving himself either

It is being made quite clear (and intentional) that the Joestar bloodline can do nothing but to lead Pucci closer to his cause. Just think of how many circumstances Pucci is doomed to fail but inadvertently aided by a Joestar. For example, Weather almost killed Pucci if Jolyne did not drive to the scene. If it is not Jotaro who stopped time, Pucci would not able to find out the exact location where time can be manipulated by his stand. So the presence of anyone related to Joestar bloodline (Josuke and even Giorno) is not going to change the course of events.

It's amazingly terrifying how a priest manages to be the most evil and worse than a demented serial killer, sadistic vampire and a cruel mafia leader, and actually succeed with his plans

Pucci’s sheer will, determination, and conviction truly make him blind to his beliefs and he fully believes he is doing everything and is righteous in doing so. Pucci is on a whole different level when it comes to how villainous he is IMO, and that’s why he’s able to beat two Joestars.

Kira pressed the Dio PTSD button and got beat to a pulp by Jotaro's knee jerk reaction, while Pucci fully weaponizes it to make the Stardust Crusader lose his shit and waste his timestop. Incredibly based

What I like is that in the anime Jotaro saving Jolyne felt more like a natural reflex than a dumb decision. In the manga I felt like he was hesitating but ended up taking the worst possible choice but in the anime it feels natural and unexpected.

It was stated in SO that the second universe is an new world where everyone knows their destiny, which means the new world Jataro and Jolyne( She’s not even named Jolyne, her name is Irene) are completely different person. Previous Jataro and team had already died to ashes, and according to the rule of the new universe, people died in the previous world would never arrive to the new one, and an alternative version of them will be created automatically instead, which is obviously nothing to do with the original version.

It is a tragic irony. The Joestar bloodline (and their companions) had won numerous battles by sticking together and bailing each other out. They had strength in numbers, and it was their compassion for each other that allowed them to power through any obstacle. This time however, Pucci uses that compassion against the Joestars and forces Jotaro into an impossible choice -- get in a clear shot at Pucci, and potentially stop all of this madness, or save his daughter? Dio had taught Pucci well about the psychology of the Joestars. They never turn their backs on friends or family, they're in this together until the bitter end. Sure if one of them dies in the heat of combat, that's just what happens in war, but they'll come back stronger trying to avenge those they've lost. Even hostage situations where if they make a wrong move and everyone dies has happened before, but every time they found a way to escape. It was just a rule that the Joestars always find a way to pull off a miracle. If Jotaro had been more like Dio and cared only about himself, then Pucci would have lost. But if Jotaro let his daughter die to attain victory he wouldn't just be betraying himself, but betray everything the Joestars stood for. This was the ultimate in impossible choices, and Pucci knew it.

What makes this more compelling than the manga and fan adaptations is the sheer SPEED at which Ermes and Jotaro are killed. It's literally not even three seconds and they're both dead. It's a great story device to absolutely body characters we were meant to like unceremoniously and I love it.

Seeing Jotaro visibly afraid is absolutely shocking and underlines the power of Pucci

I just realized something: when Pucci says "Oh my, it seems you were late by two steps" in 1:49, it looks like he's answering Jotaro when he says "he's a step ahead of us" in 0:47, which means that he could probably be conscious and listening during the time stop, just like he did before when Jotaro threw the harpoon at him. What a flex.

Seeing jotaro dying is such a strange felling. You know, that guy on part 3 that was unbeatable because of his stand, the guy who killed dio, then discovered how to stop time. And on part 4, where even from kira, the guy with one of the most op stands, killer queen, had fear of jotaro absurd power, not only from timestop or his stand, but jotaro's power, jotaro's influence. Seeing that powerful guy sadly dying to pucci, who at the time was nearly undefeatable with mih, is just sad. I wish araki made an spin off on the new universe, with irene, anakiss, etc...

@@xrung1706 hmmmmm, yes and no. They happen on the "reseted universe" before it got reseted. The original universe has jotaro and jolyne, and the reseted one is the same thing but with Irene and the alt jotaro, that I don't know the name

I said it once and I'll say it again. Jotaro was never nerfed. The enemies got more powerful. Not saying the other enemies he took down weren't, but so many odds were against the team here. Awesome fight, I love the holy battle music playing earlier while they were fighting on the building. Stone Ocean was such a cool part!

The only time he actually did get “nerfed” was in part 4, where his time stop was really short (at max, 2 seconds) Even then, he only time stopped once himself prior, and then he got back to his standard 5 seconds afterward

@@meliorbutterfly The group of characters we see at the end are not alternate variants of themselves, the original universe is restored but without Pucci ever existing in the first place this means that Jotaro could be a part of Jolyne's childhood and the events of part 6 would not happen that is why they are different and only Emporio remembers the true events.

Jolyne did the secret Joestar technique in her final moments. She died like a true Joestar.

The freaking detail on Jolyne at 0:54 the knives were already thrown at her neck before Jotaro noticed, man if he payed attention a bit earlier he'd be only 1 step late, giving him time to knock down Pucci.

I gotta say Jolene's little monologue really got me here. It's the final end of her arc, we get a little reminder of how she started this story. A bratty girl acting out to get daddy's attention. And now at the end she's finally a grown woman who proved herself and came to understand and forgive her absent father.

A big missed opportunity of the anime is to not adapt "Father: Jotaro Kujo, Daughter: Jolyne Kujo" chapter (the one that shows Jolyne's car theft) Like we got small tidbits of it early on, but it would have been awesome to get it in late Batch 2/early Batch 3... Also a good excuse to have more screentime for Jolyne's mom, who is criminally underused like in the manga.

Also, Pucci himself explicilty stated that Made in Heaven is not complete.

At the end of the sixth part, I can’t even believe that Jotaro died. A man with steel nerves, cold-blooded, smart and savvy. A person who has seen a lot, defeated an incredible number of Stand users, the owner of one of the strongest Stands - was killed. The last knight fell (I do not count Polnareff because he is a turtle, and Joseph, most likely, by the time of the sixth part, his brains turned sour).

I just love the fact that Jotaro moved Jolyne out of the way without thinking as soon as he reached her, going against his personality, showing the love he has for her daughter and that he would do anything for her

It’s actually heartbreaking and so compelling. I’m sad that he died because he’s such a badass character but it was such a compelling death that’s been built up six parts

Made in Heaven... One of the best anime arcs I've ever seen. I appreciate DP's work plus Pucci's VA nailed it.

You can't tell me that this wasn't incredibly satisfying and incredibly sad at the same time. It was sad that we lost Jotaro, but he died like a hero, a warrior that fell in battle, that's the best death out of all (according to Lysias)

I've never seen Jotaro loses his cool like this... It's heartbreaking

3:20 Emporio's scream sells this so fucking much. It really feels like the lowest possible moment. Even in the new universe, I can bet he'll still have nightmares of this sight.

Pucci, knew Jotaro's past from his Disc memories / talking with Dio, so throwing the knives was traumatic for him to experience again, on top of that, losing someone close again ( Kakyoin - Dio Fight ) ( almost lost Joseph - Dio fight. ) .. He chose to save his daughter over the Universe.

1:14 The shift in music really made this scene horrific. David Productions did an amazing job on part 6

*Jotaro and Jolyne deaths are so painful. They didn't had the chance to say ''I love you'' to each other. And Jolyne's death is even more sad because Jolyne's life was very short and full of disappointments. She didn't have much time to be happy, be together with her father and live her life after getting out of prison. Fortunately Emporio honored everyone's sacrifice.*

@@Tyesun27 That's still Jolyne's soul. Pucci didn't do a full cycle of another universe because he stopped to deal with Emporio first. He died which created a universe without him in it. Parts 1-5 still happen and characters of part 6 got to live their lives without Dio/Pucci infulence.

DP really captured the sense of dread that Made in Heaven's time acceleration gave. I already have chronophobia, so it only adds to that. David Production just has the ability to capture JoJo perfectly, making even the most confusing moments more clear.

Pucci was honestly a great villain.

Don’t know if many people have noticed or if it has been mentioned before but I like that detail/Easter egg for the eye Jolyne chooses to throw the knife at pucci. It’s the exact the same eye/area where jotaro was sliced. Makes it even more personal, badass and giving him a taste of his own medicine.

@@destiny696 his time stop is still 5 seconds in length, the only thing that's accelerated is when time is resuming. before pucci, the time stop slowly deactivated but after pucci's time acceleration, the time stop deactivated instantly instead of slowly going back to normal.

I know this is saddest moment of jojo and I was crying like baby even when I already read it many times in manga but man...I can't stop laughing that people commenting about Puchi posing while Jotaro has panic attack. XD

There is one thing i like about this fight, and the music. Especially because the music seems to be in a somewhat reversed order to the one used in part 3. For exemple, the music before jotaro timestop, the same one who inspired hope once he timestopped in part 3, is used in a way that, while also giving us hope, give us the dread of "its a definitive moment that will settle everything once and for all". Or even during the timestop, with the use of Final Battle from part 3, it give us an even bigger sense of dread, since the first time that music was used jotaro managed to escape in-extremis manner, but here, the music seems to show us that this won't be the case, that wether its jotaro or the other, they wont come out of this unscatered, or even alive

anyone’s who’s ever been a daddy’s girl can relate to jolyne depending on her father to come save her… always calling dad because he’s always dependable no matter the circumstances no matter if you’re in trouble… makes me cry
