Next year will be my first ever Elk hunt with my brother, father in-law and his nephew. Rifle elk, I even bought a Howa .300 Win Mag because of you. What was the yardage on this shot? Was it a doped scope or a BDC?

With my dad and uncles. Unfortunately my dad is reaching the age were hunting is becoming limited. Two knee replacements and now he needs a hip. He says one more trip out west and that's it for him. We haven't gotten a bull elk together yet, so that's my goal for next year with him. We are saving antelope hunting for when he cannot climb mountains anymore. I missed a lot of years hunting with him while I was in the army. Trying to play catch up now while he is still able to shoulder a rifle and get out in the woods.

Beau really is an inspiration and seeing the positivity and joy he has despite his health situation is just really a testament to his character. I Love and enjoy watching all of your content Randy! I can’t say enough great things about Beau! Even when he’s sick he’s got a big smile on his face and a super positive attitude! Randy, you are very blessed because friends like Beau only happen once in a lifetime! My prayers are for a safe trip and complete healing and comfort for Beau! Oh, and congrats on a awesome buck!

Yes, I am blessed. In some amazing gift from God, I am blessed with so many great friends and I am humbled by the bounty of those blessings.

I do not know Beau Baty. But what I do know if that he is an inspiration, especially in these times. I have played college football, commercial fished in Alaska for 12 summers and taught and coached high school kids for 22 years....and Beau Baty is someone to look up to. The gut, the grit, the grind, the intestinal fortitude.....and the heart and positivity are something to be admired. Good on you, Randy and crew. Good on you, Beau Baty. I am misty eyed, elated and rooting for you!!!! Keep up the good fight!

I absolutely love the fact that you gentlemen are ambassadors of public land hunting in this country and the face of what true hunters are. Thanks for all you do.

Beau is a bad-ass. And he's quite the camp cook too! I pray he beats this current setback for many more seasons in the woods and spending time with his family.

I about fell out of my chair when Randy piped up with "People have died from less than this". My Father has said exactly the same thing, damn-near word for word after a rough pack out. Gave me a good laugh!

As I watch these edits, I further realize the blessing of great friends and great camps. And the blessing of being an American who, for not much more than the price of a tag and the gas to get there, can have a world class experience on these amazing public lands.

This is arguably one of the best (of many) videos. It is truly amazing to see everyone enjoying a fun hunt together and to see such great respect for Beau. What an inspirational and great person he is. He is the kind of friend everyone wants to have with his positivity and kindness even when he is possibly going through the worst time of his life. His pain hides behind his smile very well. I wish the best for Beau and the team so that there are many more hunts like this.

I think any video I see with Beau gives me a better outlook on life and God's blessings. Thank you for letting all of us have glimpses of what it looks like to be a truly grateful man. Lorenzo, holy &$%# what a deer! There isn't another "Big Hank" in that zip code and maybe not in that time zone. Making that climb with that on your back and not being winded, you were an excited man brother.

What a great episode!!! I am so glad to see Beau out hunting with you guys. Beau, you are an inspiration to all of us. Randy you found a great friend and an excellent camp outfitter. Beau's Eagle Scout award gave him a great beginning for the outdoors and he has excelled in his chosen career. That smile of his is worth a million bucks and I am so glad to see him out doing what he loves. I am excited to see the rest of this hunt. Randy thanks for taking us along. Dam you guys brought a tear to my eye.Now that's friendship right there.Thank you guys for another sneak peak into your lives and your hunting adventures.

Young guys that can pack, old guys that can't, and kids, so I can see the world all new and fresh through their excitement-filled eyes (youngest this year was my new best hunting buddy and he's four). Oh, at my age there are also a few folks that you can't see, but they are with me none the less. Most important: my Lord and Savior.

The Bo Randy dynamic is great.

Absolutely fantastic hunt!!! Congratulations Lorenzo. That buck is an absolute tank! Randy and Beau are the consummate gentleman. Beau... I have no idea how you are doing this, but I can only imagine how healing this trip is for your body, mind and soul. I can't wait to tomorrows video. 🦌👍

Watching Beau on this hunt was an in-person demonstration of the power of the human spirit. We could see it in his eyes and body how hard these treatments were on him. To hike in 9 miles while ailing from the side effects of those treatments is beyond what video and words can adequately convey. I will remember his determination every time I see these pics, no matter whether bucks were/weren't taken.

Beau is the most positive person. I have total faith he's going to be okay. Keep up the good fight and keep making some awesome hunting memories.

Randy, love how selfless you are and that you so enjoy helping others with their hunts. As I enter my silver haired years, it is such a joy teaching and helping others succeed. You have a great crew-love seeing Beau, love Marcus and Kara, love all your AZ crew-except there sure seems to be lots of Montana plates down south when I’m trying to hunt! Thanks for being such a good example of a person who gives back far more than he takes-something that is often rare in hunting circles.

I've been dreaming of taking a buck like that for 30 plus years, a giant high mountain mule deer is the ultimate endeavor!!! Seeing Beau like that reminds me of my dad when he was sick, he's a tough man.

What a great group! This video showed the character in each one of you. The unselfishness and excitement for one another is what makes these videos fun to watch and what has you rooting for the success of the entire group. Great channel! Beau you truly are an inspiration! God bless

My wife, family and friends. Hunting has nothing to do with the kill but the memories we made along the way. Randy, it had to be a blessing to be there in person with Beau and watch him smile. Caught myself with a big smile on my face seeing the camaraderie, unselfishness and joy you all share. That can't be bought for any amount of money. Something I have always admired about you Randy. I have been anxiously waiting for this series... it certainly has so far lived up to expectation, I can't wait for the next episode. Beau seems so very humble, I appreciate him and you showcasing his courage, fortitude, and love of hunting. Beyond inspiring! My favorite people to hunt with are my boys and husband, scouted AZ Unit 9 yesterday for my son's late archery bull tag... fingers crossed we will run into our own "Big Hank"

True. I will never forget it. Camps are more special each year and the people I share them with are what make them memorable.

My kids , we hunt all the time together , my 11 year old will be able to hunt next year as 12 is our legal age in my state .great video as always . Time spent in the outdoors with family and friends is the best .

I have had the great opportunity to watch a lot of hunting video's throughout the years, and this series right here is hands down the BEST I have ever watched. Randy, you are a class act in every sense of the word. As I watch Beau on this hunt I can't help but tear up. The strength and determination that it must take for him to be up there I cannot begin to understand. All I can think is he was where he was supposed to be, with great friends doing what you can tell he obviously loves. What an amazing individual, and what a great crew, all of you!! Congrats to Lorenzo on an incredible buck!! Keep up the great work and good luck on your hunts!

I have a lot of respect for you, Randy - LOADS and LOADS. Your hunting ethic, as exemplified by your stance of punching the tag of an animal you wound and don't recover shows the heart of a true hunter, and makes me respect you even more. That said, showing a clearly risky 650 yard shot that misses and then wounds such a majestic game animal -- even though it is recovered -- does not put hunters in the best light, and in my view damages what you and Fresh Tracks have stood for these many years. Had I made that shot (which I would not have attempted), I'd feel sick (as I have on two previous occasions when I've wounded big game animals at much closer ranges). I know loads of people will disagree with me on this, probably vehemently, due to the fascination we seem to have with long range hunting, but I offer this comment with the utmost respect.

I agree. It's unfortunate that the whole long range thing seems to have become acceptable. I enjoy Randy's channel, but don't like seeing this. "If you're not 100% sure you can get a deadly shot on the first try, don't shoot".

I agree with you. Way too far and windy for a shot like that. That was a very unclean kill. Hopefully some lessons will be learned.

A man HAS TO KNOW HIS LIMITATIONS!! I believe when a person knows his ability, that adds a degree of assurance that not all people have. For a lot of people a 650 yard shot would be absurd BUT having the experience of many years in the sport and knowing ones own ability, this too is doable. Not for a lot of people mind you but it IS plausable if you're up to the task. Truly, each to his own. Respectfully!

Love the rawness of the day by day. It's what most hunting content is missing. Keep it up, never change.

Another great Randy Newberg film. Congrats Lorenzo on a great buck nice and wide with deep forks. I also hope for the best for Beau and his cancer fight he is a great guy.

Beau has to be one of the best humans walking this planet. I’ve followed his story the last few years and he’s an inspiration to me and I’m sure thousands of others. I just got back from my first backcountry elk hunt yesterday and as I was driving I somehow passed Beau’s house. Recognized it from previous videos and was shocked to see it. So beau if you read this and was wondering why a silver truck was stopped at the road by your driveway I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to say a quick prayer for you and your family. Keep battling and wish you the best all the way from Texas!!

@@orkboy59 film tends to lose a bit of context in quick situations. it was 650yds. first was no wind hold, then a 5minute hold, then a 4 minute hold for the last shot.

What a BEAUTIFUL buck guys! He'll be hard to top! What a perfect specimen! Would love to see how he looks on the wall! Congratulations!

I watch a lot of outdoor videos. There's a lot of good ones but Randy, you, your friends and production staff produce the best. Great adventures but mostly it's the positive mood through all of them expounding on a sound environmental ethic that so many people lack. Thanks again for another great adventure. Kudos to Beau. His character shines through the adversity he is facing.
