If people only knew the level of knowledge that is expected and required of being a pharm tech. Its quite a bit, quite a bit- the pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, mathematics, clerical, insurance, compounding, people skills and attention to detail. Pay should start out NO LESS that 27.50 an hour.. especially with all certifications that are required and required to keep up with continued education.

I dont think base pay should be anywhere near 27, but if you are a long term pharm tech and you might have other certifications, I definitely think 27.50 an hour makes sense. Id give base pay of 19-22 for people who only took the ptcb starting.

@@tineh9724 mometrix pharmacy technician mine is 3rd edition I bought last year, but they have newer editions 4and 5 just came out. The difference with those is that they have 3 practice test. Mine only had one practice test.

I have a cousin who never studied much, we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than studies after writing the PTCB test last month she passed and I failed 😣, I asked her how she did it , just found out she got her help from Mr Kevin..
