Thank you for the comment addy2803. I agree you should not forget that "you" are a tourist and as such always negotiate the price right down. Be careful of restaurants giving you the menu card in Euro ask for the official MUR local rates, same applies to shops where they label in Euro then you can negotiate the price right down. Tell them that you are an expat and live in Mauritius, that always works for me.
