He got out after 6 months for good behavior when his original sentence was 7 years? How does that even equate??? Of course he had good behavior in prison! There are no little girls he could molest! Smh!!! Our prison system is SO broken!

When I heard he got out early, that blew my mind. I hope Sarah's law becomes mandatory in all states. You just can't send people to jail and then let them out a few months later because they smile at you and act reformed. SMH.

Sometimes it is an agreement reached with the family of the victim - without him taking a deal their would have been a jury trial, which would have been incredibly traumatic for the family. That's usually the reason for those deals being made.

Yeah the need for trail, so the family didn't have to sit through it and hear the things he done to the little girl. The government needs to make a law for this sort of crime. A punishment harsh enough that would make potential and or child predators think twice. Like brand or tattoo their charge across their forehead then cut their thing off and turn it into a womans private. Have them locked up in a special area of the prison where prisoners who frown upon child predators can go during leisure time and do to them like they done to their victims. Eventually they suffer mentally and physically the majority would kill themselves, saving us taxpayers dollars in supporting them to be there. To me that would be the best punishment and should have already been made into one!

I can’t believe I haven’t read any comments about the aunt. If I was the mother, I would put a bullet between her eyes for allowing this monster into her home. And allowing him to stay even after she knew that he was a child molester.

Torch Silke while a plea deal is rotten, it can be torture to the family, especially if they had her 6yo sister testify. Years later and she's still hurting from it. Sometimes the police offer plea deals to protect the family from trial. At least in my case, a plea deal was brought to me, the victim, and I had the chance to allow it or not. Plus, he could have gotten off lighter than even life without parole with a good manipulating lawyer. While he certainly did not deserve a plea, sometimes it's taken because of the others involved and the chance of a lesser sentence

The plea deal is for the family. Without it, they spend years in court, testifying, in the room with the monster who killed their loved one, seeing pictures of the body, etc.

The punishment for rape should be castration. The victim will have to live for the rest of her life with a trauma so it is fair that the criminals should have a remeinder of what they are. If you do not change those laws then soon people will start making their own justice.
