The thing that’s always so sad to me in this is just how Garfiel reacts - Him claiming that his mom left to be happy, the attacking his baby self showing how much self-hatred he has, and even that he smashed his forehead in trying to destroy the spot where his mom kissed him, hoping to ignore the claim that he was actually loved. It’s so sad to see how truly broken Garfiel was, and so good to see how he’s been helped in such a big way.

I just remembered one thing that was sort of left out of the anime. Remember that Subaru lost his right to take the Trials? The entire time he was in there, he was taking damage and even had a little bit of internal bleeding by the time he and Emilia left. And then he had that combat with Garfield. He is really not in great shape at this point.

@@MasterMax I don't think we will ever get to that anytime soon, white fox bled bad this season and giving rights to other studio's could ruin the anime since white fox has a good way to do this anime.

The person playing 5D chess in this series is you. You are seriously picking up on all of the right details and asking all of the right questions, and it sometimes makes it hard to comment on your videos. There are so many things in this video that I’m just thinking to myself “Omg he picked up on that detail.” You picked up on the unseen hand to the point where I literally cannot say anything else without spoiling. You picked up on the shattered gate where the only thing I can say is that is a huge deal, as Subaru can no longer regulate the mana in his body anymore and it will continue to accumulate, and if he does nothing to address this he will begin suffering from mana poisoning. All the other things I would normally say for this episode I can’t say because, well, you’re going to find out soon.

I hope the person asking about whether or not Subaru is in a dream isn't thinking that it would be a good thing. The "It was all a dream" trope is terrible. It removes most if not all stakes from the story, and the better the story, the more it feels like a middle finger to the audience when you end it with "It was all a dream". There's no way Tappei would do something this ridiculous, or at least, I certainly hope he knows better than to do that. Granted, Subaru would probably keep all the things he learned, so it wouldn't mean the entire thing would be completely pointless... but that would be it. Everything else apart from that would be pointless. All the stakes about the world in general would mean pretty much nothing in the end. All the other characters that we were invested in's progression would mean nothing in the end. It would be bad. Very bad. To be fair, some stories can afford to do it and be really good, but most of the time, it's just a bad trope. In the case of something like Re:Zero, it would ruin almost everything.

It's so cool to see an anime-only spouting out some galaxy brain theories with only their limited knowledge of the story so far.

I'm scared what he says my just be right....I like how theory of Emilia being "hope" though it makes a lot of sense with her personality and connection to Satella where Satella is "sealed" is her other side and her soul may very well be split one in the seal another in Emilia which could explain why she was able to kill Emilia so easily in Arc 3 and taking over her body when he told Echidna RBD. Two different people that exist yet....there not at all.

You've not seen it yet here and it's part of a theory I've got but The ideal world they're trying to reach is one that has been denied repeatedly over and over and that's when the hero is sent back to their world - which will happen to Subaru - but one person will be able to fully remember and convince people to go back and get him, bring him back and get the world safe again, and that'll be Rem. It will be nearly impossible to get to as there's a lot of things that can and would go wrong but that's what'll happen for the story in the end, Subaru'll come back, help them finally defeat whatever it is that's plaguing the world and save it.

Lets go! I wanted to watch your twitch vods but they're a few episodes ahead, its all good tho.

I'm not sure I can keep watching these videos. As I get the feeling you are unknowingly spoiling future arcs with how accurate your theories are. XD

Of all name dropped characters that we know virtually nothing about... I would say the Dragon stands out most. Malefoscence is the first thing that comes to mind. If you know all her versions then a few things are basically true. Magic mirror/manipulator/meaning of her name/Dragon form. Now you want freedom of movement and recognition (notoriety) and a position where you can shape events and remain off radar... Well your righting history as an important but reclusive scholar advisor to the crown. You bring up the Dragon as a smoke screen to your involvement. Just so happens a convenient dragon exists that was linked to the King. You replace that dragon by devouring it while it sleeps or however. now when the scholar should of died you become the dragon and steal its identity. every so often a Wise person shows up to advise the current King... the people never learn why the advisement is needed and so radical leaders are kept quite and waves are never made. The kingdom expands naturally and now you are to lazy to want to do the foot work. So you make witches as your disciples and they act under your bidding... they are taught about how and when to make their own followers so the Archbishops come to existence. Originally you give minimum orders to the witches and they convey what orders were given defined as they chose. But the Kingdom became more involved and so you sent them orders toact different than before. That was 400ish years ago, the current situation is malefoscence trying to steal the throne for herself but make it seem legal. My question is which one is the cover story.
