Ooh your the physic ,,ooh I didn’t realize this until now ,,,well I enjoyed the stories about the men and it touched my heart ,I am glad the men are all reunited with their families now in heaven …I am sure many cried for their mothers as they were scared or dying ,,,I can feel it ..I would do that in their position..I would cry for my mother ..I’m glad they are with their mama’s now ,,my heart breaks..thank you job well done

In regards to his question of the significance of the number 68, The 68th NY was present on the north side of town on July 1, though not in the railroad cut area. The 68th NY was in the XI corps which broke and ran in the afternoon. There was also the 68th Pennsylvania deployed to the Peach Orchard as a result of when Sickles created his notorious III Corps salient - but again not near the Railroad Cut, and also on July 2 - not July 1.

We got an EVP at the Railroad cut of the name Coleman. When we got home we looked into it and found a soldier with the last name Coleman was killed there.

Sorry, I don't recall the color. I am blessed to have all five "clairs."

On the medal General Renoylds had a chain on with a Roman Catholic cross on it, odd since he was a Protestant. The chain had an inscription that said to kate. An aid noticed this and looked through the generals dispatches after the battle and noticed letters from a Kate, they had been married secretly, after Renoylds family learned this they quickly accepted Kate into the family.

This area would have seen the 6th Wisconsin and Rufus Dawes’s famous charge also elements of some New York regiments joined in the rest of the iron brigade was fighting in the woods around willoughby run. Before all this tho there was fierce fighting for control of the cut.

@@janelleallison3866 The SNY regiments (14th Brooklyn and I think the 149th) did not join the attack until the 6th was already at the cut. The Iron Brigade is one of my most researched Brigades. Howdy from Indiana

Swords in the railroad cut would most likely have been a Mississippi Officer and possibly an Iron Brigade officer or man with a bayonet.

Well done! I really enjoy hearing you tell of those things we can't know historically, such as the black man named Moses. Of course, the confirmation of historical fact IS necessary, too. This may or may not make sense, but I get that the bird's eye view of the battlefield is sort of like astral projection by one of the fallen during the battle.
