This bow is an absolute speed demon! In this video I cover its main features as well as run 4 different arrows through the chronograph. I was shocked at the speed!

    @@saulgood6190 I don't have a chronograph so I don't know. I'm pretty sure on the draw board it was 57.5 lbs. I can say I shoot 429 grains and it shoots flat out to 22 yards. It uses a 44 tape on an HHA optimizer ultra. If that helps. I ground hunt, no blind, so I like an easier draw and close shots. In Maine there is always something in the way, so 20 to 25 yards is enough especially from the ground. Turkeys are my thing. But the deer I encountered this year were all with in 20. One was 6 inches, couldn't shoot, couldn't even move. It ran up and stopped right in front of me, I was leaning against a tree, it stood there for maybe 30 seconds.

    Other comment about speed test arrow kit is spot on. Also I think the amount of different weights is just excessive. 400, 450, 500 and 550 would tell everything relevant and anyone can interpolate between. Rather include a still frame with speed test results in one table. Sometimes it's hard to stay on track which speed is for which weight.

    Have owned all PSE speed bows since the Omen - this feels miles better! Especially at full draw with the HL mods it’s really easy to hold even for extended periods of time, night and day difference compared to FT. Unless you shoot it with the FL mods - they will generate about 10fps more (then it actually makes IBO!) but it feels a lot more like the FT with only 60-70% letoff.

  • @benl5672
    @benl56722 жыл бұрын

    Nice video, I’m considering the same bow but your chrono numbers for the 26” draw seem off. For the full draw length you used they look good and match up to on-line bow speed/momentum calculators. But for the 26” draw all the numbers you got were 11-12 FPS slower than what they calculate out to be from online calculators. I’m interested in the 26” draw because I have a VXR28 at 26.5” draw and I’ve chronographed it and with a 440 gn arrow I get 273 FPS (10 better than the NXT at 26) and with a 364 gn arrow I get 300 FPS...according to the online calculator the NXT should get 281 with the 440 gn arrow and 304 with the 370 gn arrow. Yes, I know I have 1/2 inch more draw but even with that according to online calculators the VXR should still be slower.

  • @benl5672

    @benl5672

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@InsideOutPrecision I agree that it should be faster than my VXR, it’s just the chrono numbers you got at 26” draw is slower than what I get from my VXR 26.5” draw numbers, and the numbers you got don’t jive with the first set of numbers you got at the longer draw length nor with any online calculators for arrow speed. My point is that maybe something was wrong with the numbers you got at 26” because I fully expect the NXT to beat the VXR at my draw length by 10-12 FPS and it doesn’t according to your testing. Believe me I want to see numbers better than what you got at 26” draw because I want a bow that’s faster at the shorter draw length I have to use and the NXT is the bow I think I want for that reason.
