FTH-212 Assignment 3: There are two parts to this assignment.
Part One:
With the firearm that you received in this course, satisfy the following:
Perform a field strip and identify all of the main subassemblies this firearm can be disassembled into for your instructor.
Describe the operation and role of various major components/areas within this platform.
Identify areas that you would be most interested in viewing to properly determine functionality within this platform and explain what you would be looking for during the troubleshooting process.
Demonstrate the operation of these components for your instructor.
Articulate your level of readiness in performing troubleshooting work like this in the future.
Part Two:
Complete a headspace check in your firearm following the guidance you received in this course. Place both the Go gauge and No-Go gauge in the chamber to demonstrate proper headspacing procedures and verbally note any differences between the "readings" you got.
Identify the surfaces/dimensions that dictate the headspace in that chamber and compare them to other designs that exist.
