Patience is sometimes 'rewarded'. I also waited with a PS5, just as I did with a PS4. Just when I wanted to jump into PS4 with a Slim, a Pro was announced. So I waited a bit more. Not regretted it. Don't know why people rush to get consoles these days. Games are lacking at that point, and this generation was even worse with all the scalping going on. Heck, I still enjoy my PS3.

You have, but how would you know without having a PS5? PS5 has been a really nice upgrade. Just the instant loading is such an improvement.

Thermal pads might be missing on RAM which causes it to overheat and shutdown with a error code. Heat exchanger is probably dirty too. Thermal paste has nothing to do with it overheating, but a better paste can lower temps.

Re paste, thermal pads, dust out fan and interior should be good to go 1-2 hours max

@@edwin768 1-2 hours max? My 2013 500gb PS4 stays on all day downloading with original thermal paste, and pads. The first time I took it apart to clean it I lost a thermal pad and made it throw a code overheating. Then I cleaned it again and found the RAM with no pad. So I cut a pad in half to use on 2 chips instead of 1, and it stopped throwing a code and overheating. Thermal pads you need are 1mm.

i never owned a PlayStation so I'm waiting on the PS5 Pro

@@jayslingualounge I'm just going to hold out because I don't want a "generic" base PS5 and I'm willing to not have the game for a month while waiting for the PS5 Pro, because I have always been a little disappointed with the base PS5's performance, and I'd rather not have the generic PS5 model.

The PS5Pro should be fully disc compatible with all previous generation systems.

We need speed adjustments like 50/50 download and upload speed not like is now 80/20

I’d wait for the pro, and grab it. The slim doesn’t offer much except for of course it being slim, and easier to transport and stuff.

PS5 does not do 8k. Nothing is in 8k for it. Especially games

I have just been to a game studio and seen the dev kit. It is real.

if i get at least 250, in trade in for my ps5 now ill get the pro, I do have to remember to take out my 4tb SSD as well

I did some digging and it might have 240 fps which is revolutionary for consoles aside with better haptics along with a next generation ps6 with insane upgrades they are also adding that 8k that has been bugging everyone because the max is 4k on the box with Liquid Retina cooling for ping drops and less fps drops people are already thinking about the ps7 which is crazy

They will probably release the Pro alongside the GTA6 release and make bundles.

I'm happy I waited end of year I can't wait
