Don’t buy the fan recommended in the description. That’s for a nidec 17 blade fan, the shitty one that some ps5 units shipped with. That fan is the loudest out of the 3. You want to get the delta 23 blade fan if possible, as that will be the quietest option if you’re trying to solve loud fan issues

yes it is the loudest but it has the best cooling perfomance meaning it spin fastest which make a annoying sound

I just replaced the nidec fan with the nmb fan it the nmb fan has a weird buzz which makes it louder than the nidec, I feel like I need to change it back. I'm so confused

Love your video. It's really good explained. I'm not sure if the fan is broken on my husband's PS5. But on mine I can feel the rotation of the fan when I touch my console. On his console I don't feel any rotation. When I'm playing on his console for maybe 1 hour, the Playstation shut down by itself and can't be restart. Only if I unplug the cable and plug it back in after a minute, the PlayStation turns on. But it is very hot. That often happened the last view times. Since then, I've only been watching series on his console.

That means the fan and the system inside full of dust I had that problem my would shut down after 2hr I just had fix my yesterday use air dust spray and open up the fan spot n clean the inside then use a electric vacuum to suck out the dust

Is it good for digital ps5

i replaced a burnt out fan. it spun then overheated. im done with this thing pretty quick here.

My PS5 inside looks completly different. Everything is is different and not just small things. I have digital Version from Germany.

I don't have a PS5, but I do have one of those How Fixit tool sets. Worth it's weight in gold. Also, my PS4 Pro keeps overheating and crashing. I can play about 30-45 minutes, then get a big blue screen about reporting the problem. I've replaced the thermal paste and keep it clean. It still runs loud and overheats. I don't know what to do.

Check if there’s any thermal pads still on the RAM chips. They can get extremely hot and also cause shut downs. The amount of consoles I’ve come across with them missing is unbelievable. Being fair, they do fall off far too easily.

Thanks for the video! Does anyone know where to get the screws that are used for the internal cooling fan shroud? Someone I know used the wrong type of screwdriver on them and the screw heads are almost completely ruined now.

You can buy a set of them. It's available in different sizes. Very good to have this at home. Can recommend this tools.

Reports show nidec is the worst for fan volume, but Amazon has a couple different options that are comparable

Ps5 fans, nidec are the loudest if you are lucky enough to get delta or nmb fan you won't have to worry about the ufo noise it makes.

@@omar805100 no i was just cleaning it because it was overheating too much and the video told me to take out the cooler to clean so i tried pulling it a little and it did not work so i yanked it out and when i was done cleaning the cooler i tried puting it back in pot then i notice that it was glued to the bourd or souder so now i am useing my crappy loud ps4 pro do you know if gamestop can fix that?
