To me the swappable analog stick modules makes this the only pro controller to get until a mainstream controller has hall effect sticks. Also the advanced software features are nice.

Great Review. I was wondering if the shortest (30ish% press) shorter than than the L1 or R1 press? Is the paddle press shorter than the 30ish% press? I just change the controller settings and use the Flip option since it's a faster trigger in Call of Duty.

Only thing I wish it had is 4 back buttons. I love it more than the scuf, but I’m so used to 4 from my scuf and elite 1/2

Removable sticks extends the life of the controller. That alone makes it a worthy investment but it would have been nice if Sony provided just 1 extra stick module in the case. Considering the drift does exist on some Dualsense controllers. I've been lucky and have not encountered drift which is partly why I got the edge because I've had a good experience.

a big tip i’d recommend is since your left stick is most likely going to be a higher deadzone, if the right atick gets drift switch the two

The hair triggers alone put the Scufs way above all other pro controllers out right now.

For about 6months. Then the stick drift comes in OR you just switch genre of games and play racing. Even action games. Remember there’s sections in Arkham knight where you rev your engine to a set degree in order to charge an amp. You’d nearly always overshoot with the hair trugger

@@Treyperiod on the xbox scuf you can turn them off to play sections like that. On the PS that is another story. My sticks on my Prestige didn't drift after a year of heavy use and now I have had an Instinct Pro for about 6 months and have had no problems with it.

one big advantage of the edge is it seems the paddles will eventually work with steam input as independent input, which is great for PC fps where you want more inputs, unlike a scuf where it just mirrors an existing input, making it better for PC. though i wish valve would just release the next steam controller already, the deck controls would be so much better than anything else for PC, touchpad + gyro is good enough to not even need aim assist, no Xbox controller can claim that (PS controllers kinda can, but id still be worse),

@@TooMuchTech it is, it made me go from a mouse purist to using a controller more. Imagine a future where FPS players can worry more about playing a good FPS than worry about what input they prefer being balanced. If you want to try MW2 has gyro on PS5 and PC, it has a few flaws (like with gyro aim, you want a way to turn it off briefly to reposition, like lifting your mouse, but MW2 doesn't have the option), but its a good peak at what im talking about so im not just some crazy person rambling.

I'm thinking those swappable thumbsticks might allow Sony to release Hall-effect replacements that would allow users to add them without having to buy a new controller. I wonder if a third-party could also do that... Probably not, judging by the lawsuits over PS5 shells but one can dream.

I was also kinda bummed to see there was no concave option. Especially when there was 6 sticks in total. Also the gloss, my God the gloss. It made recording a nightmare lmao. Overall though I think they were very close to making a great device here. The problem is that they happened to slip in places that they couldn't afford to: battery life, PC support, and little shit like not having 4 paddles.

I normally use an Elite 2 but I was having issues with not being able to win 1 on 1's and started thinking it was the controller so I went out yesterday and bought this little Gambit. I overclocked it to 500mhz and I have to say it's a very accurate controller. I would imagine it won't last very long (All of them wear out on these FPS games). I just didn't like the scuf mainly because of the paddles (buttons). I ordered a Battel beaver and it's being built so I'm interested on how well it shoots.

Do not buy sonys trash ass controller. Mine had stick drift worse than my 6 month old controller right out the box. I ordered a replacement and guess what it had stick drift as well

Do not give scuf your money please
