@@wally139 You are right in that of course SATA 2/3 has a speed cap but that cap is 600MB/s for SATA 3 and 300MB/s for SATA 2 which the hard drive can most definitely not reach. There is most definitely speed and not to mention latency improvements to be had when using an SSD on those interfaces but moreso on SATA 3.

Yes there is a cap, I agree however the main problem is with the original ps5 HDD being utter garbage. So there is a noticeable difference as you can see evidently in pretty much all comparison video there is.

Not going to lie, the main reason I want a PS5 right now, is so that I can play my games in quiet and it not sound like a jet engine taking off. Its not going to be until next year and beyond that we get true next gen games with even some of the bigger games next year coming to current hardware.

Actually it’s 99 percent backwards compatible. They tested well over a thousand games. So simple math you’ll likely have 1000 plus PS4 games that are backwards compatible.

@@shaunstorey23 Don't expect to have 825 gigs available on the PS5 when you first turn it on. The OS and system software will take up some space, and drive sizes are labeled in a strange way. For example, my 2TB hard drive that I installed in my PS4 Pro only has 1.7TB total available space. My best guess for the launch PS5 will be around 700 gigs or so. I'll find out November 12th.

It's 99% of all PS4 titles, the head of Sony NA mentioned it in an interview while also mentioning the lack of compatibility the PS5 will with older titles beyond the PS4. 99%, or roughly 3,984-ish games, however Sony likes to include every edition of a game but in general around the 3000 mark.

Yes to all questions. You can transfer games from an external HDD.

I hope the extra features the dualsense has will be utilized for more games than the dualshock was. I can't think of many games that used the dual shocks built in speaker for example.

Yea, those pcie 4.0 (5 gb/s, same as PS5 ssd) ssd's are out for PC. Only "problem" is a 2tb one cost as much as a PS5. But it doesn't matter. Sony already stated you're gonna need their own proprietary ssd.

*THIS IS FOR ANYONE STRUGGLING WITH THE BAWLING INFANT THAT IS THE PS4 JET ENGINE* For years on end I have been attempting to reduce what the PS4 is notorious for; the 'jet engine' cooling. I have the first release model and it's been a struggle. Dismantling and cleaning everything (I mean everything. Even the springs on the disc drive) to replacing the thermal paste and fan. Now this helped remove the overheating issue I had also gained, but didn't do anything for the clamorous chimes that is the noise. But after all these years having given up, I decided to look at the most neglected aspects of the console and it changed my life. It allowed me to play Ghosts of Tsushima (on the first fat model) with no ramping up of the cooling (same amount of noise as the ps4 main menu). You know those black pads you may have come across as you attempted to clean out your ps4? Yeah those. They are thermal pads and I will let you know, that was the only thing that helped and boy oh boy did it help. I have compared it to PS4 Pro's out of the box and it has made it quieter than those too. Thus replacing those with good quality thermal pads will work for all models of the console. It is a fairly easy task and much less daunting than replacing the thermal paste. Optimally, replacing both pads and thermal paste would be best (ensure they are high quality and well reviewed). You can look up various threads and/or videos with examples of how to do it. The thermal pads and thermal paste I used were 'Thermalright Thermal Pads 12.8 W/mK Non conductive' & 'Thermalright TF8 Thermal Compound Paste 13.8W/mK'. This is an underrated company and they have not disappointed me. The mainstream Arctic silvers and Thermal grizzly kryonauts can be a hit and miss as told by the many reviews. Take my word that thermalright have only hit bullseye's for me. I hope this gives a bit of new life to your console before you decide to upgrade. Upkeeping and enjoying your newly revived machine is immensely rewarding. All the best :) Edit: Also for upkeep, clean the disc drives with a tutorial to fix a grinding noise whenever a disc is used. In addition, the hum you may hear could also be the disc drive passing vibrations onto whatever surface the ps4 is placed on. To fix this place small equal pieces of foam on all 4 corners of the ps4 (Like a stand to raise it a cm higher) or even just fold toilet paper/tissue and use it as a stand (works for me). Anything elastic or malleable is best as solid will only transfer those vibrations.

Just connected my PS5 today, and boy am i already amazed!

I just want to know how realistic 4k 120fps games are. Should I wait for a 4k TV with hdmi 2.1 that's affordable. Or will I be fine with 4k 60hz

You'll be fine with a 4k 60hz and 1080p 120hz TV. Game engines need to be developed first and that takes time. We'll probably see 4k 120hz games in about two years.

never gonna happen unless its a indie game, even then, said developers might opt out to making it 120fps as its much more work optimizing for way too low yeld as next to no one will be able to play it. if you want to future proof yourself for a possible ps5 pro sure, but that might not happen and right now 4k120fps wont happen often enough to matter.

@@studeneca I think Sony has confirmed they are targeting 4k 30 with 60 being optional. 60 will not be achievable with Ray tracing imo. Sacrifices will have to be made. Even the best pc graphic cards frame rates almost half when rtx Ray tracing is turned on. I'd be shocked if the ps5 can handle it.

#24 "The stand for the PS5 will be included in the box". Now, even though i don't think this is a surprise, because i don't think you can set the PS5 up somewhere without it, it's still nice! 😎

No announcements got me anywhere near as exited as demon souls remake haha

remember when you can copy ur music, pictures, & video's from ur flash drive to ur ps3 & save it to the system did they bring that back for ps5 or no? (I'll copy & past this on other vids to get a answer)

So its safe to say, with the 3d sounds and the adaptive triggers that the ps5 will have, Grand theft auto, and others like it will be SOOO much fun. I'm looking forward to 2021 in gaming on the ps5

question: 1. Can it run well if I only have 1080p screen... 2. Does the new wireless headset's faux leather on earpiece breaks and peels off after few months of usage like my Razer Kraken does?

1. Yes. Your frame rates will be awesome. 2. Hopefully not that quickly, but probably some day. Think of the earpiece cushions as parts that are going to wear out eventually.

I will wait for the slim version of digital edition thanks!

Scalpers will buy all the units before you can order one. 7. They didn’t make enough units to meet demand. 8. Don’t worry about launch day, or what games are coming out because you won’t be seeing one until after March of 2021. 9. Your parents will buy you an Xbox one X by mistake.

Never got into controller vibration or feedback. I turn all that stuff off. It's distracting.

Justin Is cool I’m pretty sure u do it on individual games in the game’s setting So u can turn of controller vibration on one game but it’ll still be another game so u have to get rid of it on that game as well and so on

So will I be able to play my already digital and disc purchased PS4 games on a new ps5 ?

is it going to support 1440p as video output resolution, like for example xbox does? there is no information about it, at least i haven't found it

What is the cap for download speed on that thing? My PS4 Pro caps out on about 50MBPS and i got a 1000-500 MBPS line in my house.

Do you think you will still have the secondary console option for game sharing?

I got mine pre ordered and demon souls remake I cant wait.

@@kintama3453 yes back when the ps5 was revealed and sites allowed to register interest in pre ordering to happen they let me know I can pre order and so I did I then pre ordered demon souls I platinumed it on ps3 and plan to do the same with the remake.

@@Onepieceistheworstfuckinganime I secured my pre order by registering with the site I got it from after it was made available straight after the ps5 reveal and then as soon as the price was revealed they sent a confirm pre order email to me and bang got my pre order in then pre ordered demon souls remake.

There's a good chance there won't be a pro version this time around. Also due to the large cooling system required for this hardware setup I doubt a smaller version would be much smaller.

Once ps5 games drop in price and go to cex then I might get one. Still loads of games on ps4 pro to finish I'm fine for now. Hopefully by then a ps5 with more memory space would be great, how much will the ps5 have with memory?

I actually haven't played Persona 5. I'm very excited to play it in 4k for the first time, since I never had the PS4 Pro.

Has any information about streaming natively from PS5 been released? I can’t find anything online

Even though they said January that could change if Sony delivers more consoles. You might also want to check with other retailers, get on their notifications lists, maybe they can hook you up sooner and you can cancel your existing preorder. Good luck!

They don't give opinions on other consoles. They work for PS or are sponsored by them. So no MS non sense on the channel. Who knows maybe they have xbox or switch at home.

Now, we are able to play ps4 games on ps5 ok good but whats the point? Most ps4 or pro gamea has 1080p resolution, there wont be any difference

Just wondering.... did anyone put theemselves on the list with PlayStation back in the summer where it said they would draw out names to get a chance to have a pre order. I did and I got one. I’m wondering if they just have anyone a chance or if they actually had a “drawing.” But I had no luck before getting that email from PlayStation for getting a pre order from a store.
