My PS4 turns on for about a second, the fan starts running, switches off, then there’s a click and the PS4 turns off. Then the PS4 tries turning on again, fan starts running, then clicks off again. This repeats endlessly. Is this an APU problem?

@@mcwubwub9263 I hate to say it but I did a lot of research and it says that the PlayStation slim has the most issues rather than the first PlayStation 4 and doing that metal ring washer that he said don't do it it'll fry your wires to your discs drive where you put the discs in. I even spoke to a couple of my friends that rebuild PlayStations as a pain to work on playstation slims . Hope this comment helped.

so my ps4 would either lag hard then turn off and when i turn it off it say system error or just turn off and say system error now it turns on show the ps4 logo then black (the blue light then flashes) and then turn off should i just go ahead and get a new hard drive,try this method or something else??(gosh i feel like crying rn)(and which one might be cheaper i don’t wanna do this one and its doesn’t work and then get a hard drive i k kinda don’t got to much moneys as or rn)

Well, I had the blue ring of death and I just kept hitting the PS button and the red circle button repeatedly until I got a(n) error message. Then I turn my PS4 upside down and played it while it was so. I notice the lines that went from the right side corner of my screen to the left, from up to down during loading...and the main screen loaded like a champ. But, that was after watching your videos. Thank you sir. I never took my PS4 apart, but I did beat on the bottom of it like a drum with my fist, not to hard though and on the side of the ps4 before it came back on from the all white PS logo which, would keep repeatedly turning off. But, now everything is working well. This is my Blue light of Death--cure and testimony. Peace!

Hello sir, my ps4 is broken, in the sense it has this problem that shows in the video, I had opened it and saw that the flat cable is broken, is it because of it if it does not turn on?

I squeezed thw ribbon cable by accident while pushing it inside the slot...does that damage the ribbon cable?

My PS4 is showing blue light it powers on then shows no single turns off before this it was lagging and freezing even locking up having to hard reset I put a book under PS4 on angle it worked for a few hours, now it doesn't come on at all. Could u use a nickel or a diff washer?

Hey, currently have had the BLOD on my slim for over a month. Tried switching TVs, HDMI still works. I did safe mode and nothing. Before my PS4 went out, I kept experiencing slower and delayed responses on my system. Kept getting codes from time to time like CES 34.... download error. So most Likely its the hard drive, if not, then the APU

Hi, great video thanks for sharing! The symptoms on my PS4 Slim are a bit different, the blue light comes on. Stays on for about 10 seconds and then the whole console goes off. The PS4 does the same when inserting a disk, on for 10. Then off. I've replaced the PSU already to no avail and tried the washer trick. I'm fairly sure it's a gonner but if you have any advice I'd really appreciate it!

The washer method dosent work all the time the blue light of death is caused by a bad solder connection between the apu and motherboard the only other way to fix it is to reball the apu or reflow it reflowing is done by heating up the apu until the solder balls melt then letting it cool fixing the connection but also dosent always work reballing the apu is done by taking the apu off the motherboard then removing the solder balls on the apu and motherboard then putting new ones on but also dosent always work if you have the equipment I would try the reflow method if that does not work you could try taking it to a repair shop or selling it for parts ( this could also be a south bridge chip problem or ram chip problem both would require at least a reflow or a reball)

Hey I know I’m late but my PS4 is giving troubling n it’s not that old and not many games on it. Anyway I turn it on and the blue light keeps flashing and the the PS4 logo comes up then a black screen I really would appreciate some help watching this video now hoping it will help but please respond cause I feel like my dog died lol.

I haven’t used my ps4 in 3 months because I was away from home and when I got home it turned on at first, while I was updating apex to the current season it just turned of then refused to stay on sometimes it would turn on but turned off within 3 minutes other time it won’t turn on at all. On ps4 slim there is no way to fix pulsing blod .even reball of apu cant .i am proffessional in gaming console repair in india .if apu really have bad solder joints then it can be easily fixed but if not than there is no way for pulsing blod on ps4 slim

It also happened to me once...you should change the resolution of your ps4 in safe mode that suits your tv.....if this does not work then try something with the tv resolution..i once did this and it worked but I can’t remember if i changed the ps4 resolution or the tv’s resolution

This video is out of order. Putting a washer on your PS4 is going to make it worse! The APU needs REBALLING, not a tiny washer putting even more uneven pressure on the solder balls to make it rip traces up as time goes on. Not to mention warping the motherboard so it ends up beyond repair when the console does die again... AND IT WILL!

I spent two hours taking my ps4 apart just for you to say I needed a washer that you sell🙄

@@zoraizkhan5192 just unplug it from the wall, remove your power cable and press the power button while it’s unplug for about 30-60 seconds then leave it there for a couple hours and plug everything back and hold the power button till you hear 2 beeps this will start your ps4 on safe mode and you have to follow the instructions after that once your ps4 opens properly you have to Reset it so it install the whole software again. This should fix it

Thank you so much i was so scared but now im happy, i will have it fixed soon! edit - I will definetly be buying all my parts and tools to fix it from your website because you guys helped me fix it by uploading that vid, thank you again so much.

TBH, I had low expectation from your video man, but I tried to do the same anyway since I have all the tools and the magical ring and it won't be too long, and WTF it works on mine!!! My problem was started since there was an ants kingdom inside my power supply, pressing power button only make it beep once then suddenly off. I cleaned the power supply but still didn't work.. Then I follow this tutorial and boom it works! Not only fixing the power issue, it also solve the jet sound that coming from mine recently. Definitely will share your video to my local group. You're a life saver. But I have questions, Is this a permanent solution? will it be safe to use in a long run?

Can I use big washers?

That heat shield didn't look like that when you took it off. Its bent all to pieces now lol

So basically my ps4 has been working perfectly fine. I put it to rest mode and now I wake up to it not turning on. I don’t think much of it. I unplug it turn it on and seconds later it turns back off itself. I tried beating the crap outta it, cleaning it and everything. Nothing is working. I refuse to touch the “mother” or whatever people call it. 🥺 I’m going to cry.

@@rickscool yeah but I got it to work at about 3 am yesterday, I was hitting the top and bottom of my PS4. I lifted up the side of my PS4 near the ventilation area, not a lot just until I heard a creeping noise. And hit the sides and eventually it started working. At one point it worked from spamming the power button if it doesn’t help.

Sad thing is i might lose some of my vocaloid DLCs

I've got the blue light of death, but I can still get into safe mode, but then it does it's little loading screen then it shows the ps symbol flashes blue and turns off again

Yo bro mine came up with " cannot start the ps4. Cannot access system storage" what do I do from here

Hey my ps4slim can enter safe mode using power cycle and 7sec power button, i tried many option beside initialize (i still want to save my safe data), after it restart, it stop (loss signal) and the indicator colour is blinking blue. I cant go to safe mode after that unless i do the power cycle again. Do u know what happen.? Thanks

Try safe mode by holding power button until it beeps and then a screen appears asking you to press the PS button. If that appears, try andselect "reset ps4" and try again. If it turns off, then try the same fix in the video.
