Thank you so much!! Was having this issue for DAYS with my son’s PS4. I’m a single mother who knows NOTHING about game systems, so THIS was a life saver omg. My tv doesn’t have a power button so I was pressing the power button on the remote. It still worked tho! I literally did not know what to do, swore I had tried EVERYTHING. True life saver.

GoatlyBaller DB If this method doesn’t work than your hdmi port might be shot. You can solder new ones on but it is hard.

Try another hdmi port..if that works then change the resolution from auto to 720..worked for me

My TV has two hdmi connectors but the other one got removed because the TV fall but the other one was shaking but I can still enter PS4 but as time went by I think its slowly removing the hdmi connector at TV so I removed the TV's back but even I intact it at right place I think it can't read the PS4 plug even I plug it pls what to do do I need new TV or new PS4 hdmi for my tv

Umm hello iam having a big problem i have connected the tv but ther is a decoder on the tv (its from a hotel) and it just wont connect also my ps4 is a slim the screen is black completely and it sais av1 when i start the tv without the decoder. the tv doesnt have an HDMI anywhere in the menus! And even the menu buttun sais this service is not available!

This didn't work for me, I have a PS4 Pro, and I did all these steps in the same order you did. I turned the ps4 on with my controller and then the controller turned off, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it? It's really weird because it turns on and everything it just doesn't show up on screen

Yes at first smoke come out from the back so u have to take out the memory tubes from the ps4 and put it in a new ps4 and it will work.
