PS4 still holds up until today PS5 imo is not a generation leap but it has some good and welcoming changes, I have a PS5 myself and it’s more about accessibility, I mostly purchased a PS5 due to the high demand as I wanted to have access to it before it’s no longer available (although this has changed) It wouldn’t be the end of the world if I still had a PS4.

It's definitely a great console, good video! You can't beat the price to performance with it, and always buy used physical copies!

Stop buying physical games because Sony has put a virus bug update on some physical games that is unplayable.

At the very last minute I decided to upgrade my original PS4 to the PS4 Pro console, I bought it from Pawnshop for $150 even the graphics are very clear and sharp compared to the original PS4. It’s great console ever since it’s release back in late 2016.

So sad I had to sell mine for some quick cash. I miss gaming on PS4. I'm definitely getting a pre-owned one.

Got the original ps4 from my friend with controllers and a headset for 100$ CAD (around 75 usd) just had to clean it..definitely worth it

i got my PS4 Pro on 2ndhand market, PS4 still rocks this year, but Im probably upgrade to PS5 later this year 2023 for Spider-Man 2 and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

The Ps4 plays the new Horizon Zero Dawn West very well also.

I still play on my Xbox one, yesterday i had played cod black ops 3 after taking a long break from playing games and had so much fun playing a few rounds of team deathmatch and then i played some splinter cell, saint’s row 2 and gta 5. I kinda almost forgot how fun playing the game really is.

Im revisiting my ps4 slim for 2 weeks until Re4 remake comes out, especially dead island 2 the following month, treating it kind of like my low end gaming pc, plus the ps4 web browser im using to search the web for free movies to watch too, use to have ps4 pro but have it to friend to get into PlayStation with an SSD, hes had a blast and will upgrade to ps5 soon.

@@h-aandle if ps5 pro is coming out besides the new standard ps5 model, maybe if you wanna wait till those come out you can if you want, after all standard ps5 all you need, ps5 pro isnt a must, like a ps4 pro was at the time 👍 im basically going to get the new models in 2 more years, then from there ill be riding out this generation until a better ps6 comes out, i never buy launch models, always wait 1 year or more for a better model.

I’ve had my ps4 slim for the past 7 years and it blows my mind that’s a unit that was released 10 years ago can run games like modern warfare 2 2022 and ps5 games in general. Aside from visual bugs in modern warfare 2 (I should probably do a deep clean because war zone runs like actual sh*t aside from the gulag )I genuinely agree that’s a ps4 is still a pretty good gaming console though if you are going to buy it as your main console I suggest the standard or pro is a better choice because slim is generally not the best . I love my ps4 and I had a ton of memories that I will never forget while playing with the bois and no new gen console imo can beat those memories

i bought my ps4 slim during a days of play sale for around US200. it was a bundle with gow, hzd & gta5. still running side by side with my ps5 & ps3 slim today. although i replaced the drive with an ssd.

I buy Mine last Weekend for 50€ and its perform really good i Play warzone and some random Games and its awesome

its still a good value, although i moved on from ps4 and plan on buying a ps5

Just bought a new one from target for $300. It’s worth it imo, because It should last longer then a used one and you get a brand new controller with it and all new cables. If your keeping it long term it makes more sense to get new.

The Ps5 plays all Ps4 cd games. Better yet many ps4 cd games get a free Ps5 frame rate and resolution upgrade from Sony online store. Sell the ps4 once you get a ps5.

Hi guys, please help me out here! I am new to console gaming, and i am interested to play the games like lost of us 1 and 2, red dead redemption 2, resident evil 4, horizon zero dawn, Spiderman, need for Speed heat etc! So playing these games on ps4 slim will be more than sufficient? Or should i go buy ps5 to play these games? Does these games looks and plays far better in ps5?

I have a PS3 and i am considering buying a PS4 to acquire more Playtation exclusive games and i recently heard from some relatives of mine that most videogames on a PS4 or PS5 require a patch download and after the patch is downloaded it requires me to pay a monthly price to acquire a PlaystationPlus in order to play any game at all is this true or false? you have to pay to play online, offline you don’t have to pay. and in some games like fortnite online is free.

I just got a new gaming monitor 2 weeks ago and I hooked up my PS4 pro on it mainly to play the MW3 beta since I still don’t have a PS5 yet. Out of curiosity, I decided to play Infamous Second Son just to see how it looked on the monitor and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it looked running at 60fps. So yeah, I’d say owning a PS4 is still worth it in 2023👌🏾

I have the PS5 and playing MW2 online with that new MW3 beta. My head phones and controllers were dead so I decided to fire up the PS4 to continue my game there. Despite of the slight slow down on the PS4, to me, I couldn't tell any difference in the graphics department. The PS4 is still Going Strong!

Thanks for this. I think for someone starting, the ps4 is a no-brainer as you get it cheap and tons of great games under 20$. Even most new games are available on PS4. PS5 does not offer value so I will probably stick with my PS4 for a while. Who knows, maybe until a PS6 is released!

Bought my PS4 in 2015, it’s still in very good condition, no problems, still using it to date, have a great time with it and play many great games: God of War, Last of Us, Witcher 3, Uncharted 4, God of War Ragnarok, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 4, Hogwarts Legacy, Dragon Ball Fighterz, Ghost of Tsushima, Spiderman, Red Dead Redemption, etc

Got for the Xbox Series S. It's the superior choice here and will last you for a long while. Couple that with Game Pass and you're set.

Unfortunately I had to buy a sony bombox cuz the ps4 Doesn't support cd media but I do like using the playstation 4 as a bluray player

My main console is a PS4 Pro w/upgraded 1 tb SSD. I have 159 games (Almost all on disc) just for PS4. I think I will be getting estimated 8-15 more games by the time PS4 is done. A Pro/w SSD is ALOT better than standard PS4. I have Og Xbox 1, PS3 slim 500 gb and PS2 slim, SNES classic modded. I have all the top games for those systems. Right now Im waiting for the PS5 Pro; supposedly Nov 2024 release date? Im also hoping future ps5 models (Pro or Slim) have larger SSD storage. At this point if you don't have any console just wait for PS5 slim/pro or just get a PS5 if you cant wait. Theirs deal's out there if you look.

Same situation as yourself. Got a PS4 Pro and waiting for the PS5 Pro to make the upgrade. The base PS5 in terms of visuals isn't a big enough jump coming from the PS4 Pro. 2024 end would be a good time for the PS5 Pro to drop. I am currently enjoying playing games like God of War Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West on PS4 Pro and it is absolutely gorgeous in terms of graphical fidelity and absolutely breathtaking visuals even compared to a decent gaming PC's graphical capabilities from 2023. Truly great job by the devs to give us such a spectacular experience from last gen systems. I won't be upgrading until the PS5 Pro drops. That's for sure.

They sell them here in U.S for $299 at Walmart, Target, and Best Buy new. People are obviously ignorant to the fact $100+ more dollars will get you a digital PS5, way more powerful, plays old PS4 games and is FAR more future proof. So what's the point at any price?

an all digital console will never be worth it. you are stuck with paying the ridiculous prices on the playstation store lol. God of War (2018) costs $20 on that store. I got a copy at a used game store for $5. (Also it doesn't play all PS4 games, there are a bunch that crash and the ones that don't suffer from graphical issues)

i got one from the pawnshop with a controller and a ps5 headset for 90 dollars

I’m still using my PS4 pro. I’m fine with 30Fps as long as the game is in 4K resolution, And correct me if I’m wrong for what I know the only game in PS Store that doesn’t have a PS4 version is Demons Soul.

If all you want is 4k30 just get a ps5 and it’s not just demon souls that don’t have a ps4 version. Returnal, Jedi survivor, spiderman 2, silent hill 2, MGS Delta, & ratchet and clank don’t have ps4 versions.

It is still pretty decent but most Xbox users stick with Xbox throughout and likewise for Playstation! If adapting to a PS interface is no problem, go for it!

I'd say only the ps4 pro is worth it now. I'm looking at getting a jailbroken one, still half the price of ps5 and comes with 3tb worth of games.

Ps4 still alive and kicking up dust until 2025..still a profitable console thanks to the x86 architecture ( ps5 same )..and a capable console..My 2015 model nearly 8yrs old still shining like new. Am not buying ps5 to play ps4 upgrades and quicker loading and 8 technical problems for over £400. Even my ps3 is still kicking up dust 😁 !

What are the 8 issues?

I'm an Xbox guy and I'm big on owning physical media, I bought the PS3 Slim and most of the Sony exclusives...still collecting, I not getting anything outside of Sony exclusives, I got my Series X for other games.

I use ps4 near a full year of 2023 and I have some lots of memories of it. Now that I just bought recently on ps5 last Friday. The graphics and gameplay mechanics are still good on ps4 but not as good on ps5

Like putting the metal knife into the wall outlet yes the PS4 is great

Dude I bought it brand new I make the money and idgaf about it being $149 with MW2 It’s an awesome console And it makes sense to own a PS4 and PS5 I don’t have it hooked up all the time I use the PS3 more and the PS5 digital with add on disc drive I essentially built my PS5 Paid more but I liked the fact I built it

I got a original ps4 fat (white) for $30. Power buttons and eject button was broken. Manage to fixed the power button but not the eject button. But I can eject it through the ps4 so basically got a working ps4 for $30, have been using till today

It's been almost a year since I bought a ps4 and it's still fantastic. I keep on looking forward to enjoying my 1-2 hour session of gaming everyday and after finishing it, I then look towards to buy second hand great games. Though I had to buy game first hand due to lack of availability.

If you don’t have PS4 before, would say it’s worth. Playing exclusive games on it will be the best thing to do.

Buying an outdated underpowered discontinued last gen system in 2023 is a waste of money when the current gen system can do what it does & better

Buy a new one while you can. I've bought second-hand consoles before and you want to hose yourself down after getting it home...don't get me started on the knackered controller. In Australia many major retailers sell new PS4s. Plus, you don't get a warrantee with a 13-year-old second-hand item. Grab one while you're waiting for PS6 or the console market to collapse. I'm very happy with mine.

hardware spec wise yes, it's much better BUT the PS4 LOOKS and RUNS almost all games better than your PC due to console optimization. The ps4 has ray tracing thru software. BUT you paid $125 which is quite a bit less than a PS4 and still a great gaming experience. This is coming from a PC guy.

PS5 stock is finally fixed so it's better to go with that option at this point.

The ps4 crashes way too much. I’ve had a regular one a pro and then another one with 2TBs on it they all were crap. Crash crash crash there’s a reason why they are so cheap today not to mention how crappy the controllers can be. Got way more joy meant from a ps3.

Don't buy any version except PS4 Pro.
