I love my PS4 it's simple I just play my games and watch DVDs simple it makes a great DVD player Blu-ray as well

So many of us don’t have the money to upgrade to a ps5 just yet and ps4 is still a good buy. I think it’s the best time to get one.

@@albertalberto2288 Not really, now the games cost about 15/20€ ($ if you're in America) the console can be bough very cheap and there's a ton o people (like me for instance) that don't feel the need to upgrade yet. I got my PS4 quite late, 2018, and with work and all find not a lot of time to play the massive library of games on the console so it really depends.

I had my original PS4 since spring of 2015, it’s still fully functional and great shape, but the antilog controllers has it’s issues over the years on the controllers, it’s better to buy freshly brand new controller in case your controller is damaged or having issues. I’m still keep playing PS4 till they stop making PS4 games.

I can confirm. The controller that came with the original PS4 has short lasting analogue sticks. I was forced to buy a new controller. I will keep playing PS4 way after they stopped releasing games for it, until they release a PS5 design that is acceptable for my living room.

Man I feel like a genius. Lol. I am a late adopter now ever since I paid $700 for the ps3 on day 1. I just bought a ps4 pro 1tb for $180 and with a load of games. That's why I feel like a genius. Lol I will also do the same with the last 3 to 4 years of the ps5.

I upgraded my PS4 Pro with a newer model Samsung 4TB SSD and it's now lightening fast and smooth as butter. Plenty of space for more than enough games, loading times complete right away (ie. Cyberpunk 2077 went from minutes to seconds when first loading into the game), and also serves as a slight graphics upgrade when you consider texture loading/pop-in dramatically improves with the SSD. Not to mention, there are so many cross-play/cross-save/cross-buy video games on the PS4/PS4 Pro systems, there's not much you will be missing if you go with it vs. the PS5, in my opinion. If you can comfortably afford a PS5 then go for it, but personally speaking, I'm going to wait for a PS5 Pro before I buy a PS5 (if I even buy one). It's already halfway through it's life cycle and there are not many exclusives for the PS5 either since it was released at such a terrible point in world history. Anyways, I love my PS4 Pro (+Samsung 4TB SSD). It's an amazing console. Paired with the PS Vita for remote play? Super fun... just need a really good internet connection and you'll be solid. I love it and you (reader) will too. PS. I honestly enjoyed the rambling. I'm a rambler as well. Lol. I like to fully explain and get my point across when speaking on a topic I'm passionate about... so I totally feel you! Liked, commented, and subbed! :)

I have ps4 slim and i bought him in late 2023 (Christmas) also his condition is like new first owner really cared about him...he is very good for me who is expert in games fortnite on 60fps is very good and other games on 30 fps solid yk got him only for 170€ with 2 joysticks cleaned him and he is very good i see his support like until 2027 or 28 he is far away from end

Watching this video, this remind me when I bought a 2TB SSHD for my PS4. SSDs back then were expensive. I will be keeping my PS4 even when I have a PC. There are still games in the PS4 that have no PC ports. Maybe I will buy a PS5 once it's affordable, late in its life cycle. Haha

Hey man personally I would of had some footage in this of it running some games, either capture card or just recording your screen for sharing purposes. Either way good informative video. I have a PS5 but I can honestly say the PS4 is still a solid system, I just recommend upgrading the HDD in the PS4 to an SSD, they are reasonably priced now, you don't need more than a 2TB one and it makes a noticeable improvement all around (game load times, texture pop in for games, menu response times etc). Especially on the Pro.

i just got one in white, im a console collector, i dont buy the latest and greatest im usually a gen behind, i put off buying one because it isnt backwards compatable but the exclusives made me want one so ive done the deed.

I loved my ps4s. Went from original to ps4 pro and a ps5 for more than one year. I still play my main original ps4 for all 1080p games, no point in using my ps5. And yes the dual shock 4 still is a great controller, but miles apart from the ps5 one. Good review but you cant compare it to a new gen console if you don’t own one.

I think the Xbox is easier to upgrade it can also have a sad upgrade plus you can just buy a 2 tb external hard drive plug it into your system and boom there you go

I agree PS4 is still a great console and and games are everywhere for cheap.

Lots of people will disagree with you on the fact that "Digital-only consoles are a scam" But don't worry, I actually do agree with you on that. I mean why can't we just have the option for both physical and digital?

it got persona 5 games and plays resident evil 5 and 6 as well. these 2 game themselves screamed high quality. it's a must buy if you don't have any better choice for your money.

Or just by a 12 foot controller cord and do not worry about batteries.

I would. But remember they won't get any more new games very soon. So if you think there will be future games that you'd want to play, then it may be worklth getting a ps5. If you can get a ps4 for under 200 in good condition, I'd say go for it

I think buying a first hand ps4 for 250 is better than buying a 180-200, as it's already used, and would probably cost 40-50 more for maintenance, also life span would be shorter than the one you buy 1st hand. What do you think? I personally am a casual, very casual gamer, i have no interest in spending so much money on games, i wanted a console that can come in my budget rn, to play PS exclusives like gow. I don't care about 60 fps or 4k hdr, basic 30 fps HDR is enough for me, i bought a PS4 slim 1st hand at 280 with one year seller warranty, and one year extended warranty, i think I can use them for my timepaas for the next 7-8 years, also i won't play sitting very close to the screen, so spending extra for 4k don't make that sense to me on. also the PS4 pro available in my country (1st hand) was of 360, so i don't think the money was worth it for just an extra 60 fps, as 4k is of no use to me, i have a decent sized screen but prefer to sit quite far of it. Btw, great video dude, i could really relate to most of what you said.

Also, i personally wanted to use this for 7-9 years, and i don't think buying a second hand would help, so i thought spending an extra 30-40 would be worth it down the road, maybe after 5-6 years, it might still work for a couple more years.

When devs (publishers) say "we are not making a lot on PS4-version sales cause 80% get the game on PS5" they'll drop ps4 altogether, even if the ps4 pro is able to play those games at 1080p 30fps.

It can not get any easier to add a extra SSD on the PS5. I bought a Ps5 just because it plays my ps4 games better , with faster load times.

PS4 is worth it for the home music alone

If a developer wants to release a game only on the more powerful version of the console, they can't do that, must be compatible with all versions of the console. If that's the case they have to ditch the whole platform. Same with Xbox Series. That's why Street Fighter 6 and Resident Evil 4 have PS4 versions but won't be released on Xbox One. I guess capcom didn't bother about the base xbox one or something.

You know how many ps4 games get the free ps5 upgrade? 1440p at 60fps on a standard 4k ,60Hz TV is a great deal for $500. Plus the faster load times.
