İdk if you have thw problem now but if you have just go to your wifi box set the wifi off wait 5 or 10 minutes set it on wait 2/3 minutes it il work ç ahd the same problem yesterday i fixed it this morninf

I'm actually about ready to smash my PS4 into pieces. UPDATE: Not sure if this is a true fix, but I decided to disconnect and take off the extended storage device from the top of the PS4. It connected to wifi. Reconnected the the device and this time placed it a foot or so away from the PS4. Connects fine now. Maybe the storage device was messing with the wifi capability by sitting right on top of it? No clue, but it worked for me, will update if I have more issues.

Just go to your wifi box set it off then set in on in 5 or 10 minutes afer you set it on wait 2/3 minutes it will come i had the same problem yesterday i fixed it thşs morning

Brother I just realised my ps4 is the base model and it cannot connect to 5ghz internet this is perhaps your problem as well. Did you perhaps change the band frequency on the router? If you solved it already perhaps someone else will find this useful.

I had to get a new modem, Xfinity the 2nd time around tried everything to try and get the 2.4ghz to light up on the other modem. After getting the new modem I'm back online

I’ve had this problem for awhile, first I changed the DNS which worked for awhile but then Error came back, kept trying different things nothing seemed to work, so then I shut my WiFi off on my phone and boom I’m back on, hopefully it don’t go out again but make sure you have nothing else connected to WiFi around your PS4

Have fixed it? Cause i have same problem and i can't finding any way. I am tired

My son was having this same issue for over 8 hrs today so I finally decided to call my internet provider which they performed a manufacture reset of the modem and everything instantly worked after the reset was complete. Hope this helps.

Yes they said if you go more than 30 days w/o resetting your modem it will do this so it’s best to reset it every 30 days because the same thing happened again a few days ago so I reset the modem and it worked again

Just the same happens to me and I don't know how to solve it.

First day i got my ps4 i had this issue few months of just playing the same disc game i randomly think to connect to my wifi and it worcked and like now 3 weeks later it's back and idk what i did the first time but it's the same error

You need to add like a pinhole/firewall backdoor for your PS4 idk much about it but you can look up a tutorial

When I did the latest update then this happened and idk what to do I can go to my friends place and it works just fine but at the crib it’s terrible I been watching videos for a week trying to fix this problem

FilmGrain yes I did so basically my dad called our WiFi guy and apparently their was a update on our WiFi so he did the update and the name of our WiFi changed so my ps4 connects to a WiFi that’s different from my phone it’s just like 1 word different but it works normal know so try calling your WiFi or something cause that worked for me.

I can always see my internet name, but it just disconnects so frequently for no reason and I'm closer to the router than my son's PS4 which is downstairs yet it is not the slim PS4 like mine is but his works perfectly fine and my Xbox works perfect too which is right next to me ps4

So I when into the router login through google found that password and stuff on the bottom of my router. It must of updated and jumped to 5g so I changed then ssid back to the old 1 without 5g at then end of it and it worked for me.

I just hate how you need Wifi just to play games. PS3 times even if you are not connected to wifi you can still play the games you download

This just happened to me today, super annoyed, tried all the fixes and still not working

Hi everyone. So my sister had this problem with her ps4. Turned out to be an issue with her Xfinity modem. I tried hard resetting and restoring the modem back to it’s factory settings with no help. A call to them to reset it did the trick. Id suggest giving them the same details to that include the network name and password to make it easy too.

Try messaging the PS Forums as someone on there must have an answer to this problem thats what I would do.

I just fixed this problem on my PS4 while watching thus video... My baby monitor was interfering with the wifi signal. Unplugged it and the PS4 immediately connected to the internet.

Jeremy just tune your WiFi off leave it for 5 mins, turn it back on and when it’s connected to your phone then turn your PS4 on it should work, hope it helps

Ok so I’ve had a history of me getting banned on ps4 and it was by this kids because I didn’t play with them for a week so when this happened I was super worried that they got me banned. I reset my router and when I get on it works but when it says sign up I got so scared because it signs you out when u get banned so I press it and it was a normal list of stuff from PlayStation and I was so relieved. Well my ps4 has internet now, just reset ur router

When i use my mobile hotspot it works but when i use the house wifi no luck and my phone is shit

If the Internet works on your phone try looking on your phone if you have a WiFi hotspot if you have type in your hotspot password and you should hopefully be back online again

We took one of the bits of advice below - switched off PS4 then switched off WiFi for 5 mins, put WiFi back on and once fully up to speed put PS4 back on and it worked. Thanks

I just plug in my Ethernet cable directly to the PS4 and then try to use that but i didn't know the password so i then reconnect my wifi and it worked.

ok. To fix it, I had to turn off and unplug my ps4 for about a min or longer then i turned off my internet router/box for a min, then I turned the router on and waited for it to be on and fully functional, then turned the ps4 on and it was connected. That worked for me if you have not tried it then do it it might work for you to. This is for hose looking for a solution because i searches it in dec 2020 but no one knew how to fix it after seeing videos from 3 years ago about it

You have to go to network and go to setup then easy and when there is no internet coming up click “options” on your controller and choose the righ ghz for ur internet

****HERE'S HOW I FIXED THIS PROBLEM**** For those of you who are still experiencing this issue (some of y'all commenting recently). We have 4 PS4s in my house (I know, we just can't share) and this happened to 3 at the exact same time (1 was a newer model). FIRST: Try updating the software on your ROUTER! If this fixes your issue, great! We didn't think to, we went ahead with this next step: ****RESET YOUR ROUTER**** This is more than unplugging it. For us, this involved calling our internet provider because we lost the login info for our router to enable it after reset. After resetting it, your PS4 *should* be able to find and connect to your WiFi. All of our consoles connected with no trouble, even the oldest one that had WiFi connectivity problems. I hope this helps y'all who clicked on this and got frustrated at the lack of answers 😊

Go into your router though google and turn it to the name what doesn't have 5g at the end of it
