PRS’ New Kid on the HSS Block! The Mark Lettieri Signature ‘FIORE’
Музыка
Anybody keeping up to date with the guitar world will be familiar with the name Mark Lettieri - the man’s a powerhouse in tasteful, in-pocket funky rhythm, with exceptional soaring lead skills to boot. Finally deciding to put his name to a signature product for this year, PRS have pulled it out the bag, producing an instrument capable of the full dynamic range of tones that Mark has become known for, and beyond the realm of any traditionally constructed S-style guitar.
Introducing the new ‘Fiore’, Jack walks you through the full range of this instrument’s stellar tonal offerings, as well as the standout design features that mark PRS out as leader of the pack of modern day guitar design. This is a guitar that feels instantly familiar, yet also offers a refreshing update to the HSS guitar market.
What do you think of the new Fiore? Is it, as previously speculated, merely a Silver Sky with a humbucker in the bridge, or is this the beginning of a new era of Paul Reed Smith’s designs, that will ensnare previous sceptics of the brand? We think it’s a winner, but let us know YOUR thoughts, down in the comments below.
If you’d like to find out more information about this new Fiore, or any of the other fine PRS products we carry, you can do so by following the links to our website below.

Congrats!
Jack's playing is out of this world
Having recently bought a Fiore, I agreed with everything said here. It's very versatile and has notes of vintage inspiration with some modern sprinkles thrown in. I also just found it very comfortable to play, it sits well and hangs well. The transparent red amaryllis finish on swamp ash looks so good too.
I can't be the only one that tunes in to hear Jack's playing, and then figures out what the video is about later.

Yes! So fun to see Jack with a Fiore
For those who want to know the neck shape is almost exactly the same as their “pattern” neck shape, but the width of the fretboard is slightly more narrow. The frets are the same wire they use on the the custom 24’s. It’s a very comfortable neck shape
The tone range on this guitar (as well as your playing, Jack) is impressive. No mud at all. Clear tones, you can hear all the strings on chords even with overdrive.
Jack, you're playing is fun, enjoyable, and inspiring. Thank you for continuing to produce these videos. I'm sorry that I spend so much time watching them lol! I recently picked up a PRS standard 24 and it is quickly becoming one of my favorites after years of being a Fender die hard. As another KZreadr said PRS is a guitar that you don't have to fight or learn so much as just pick it up and play. I think the tones that you coaxed out of this Mark Lettieri Fiore really both capture the unique sound of the guitar and Mark's way of using it. Good show man. Thanks
Fantastic Demo! You make this guitar shine by showing it's truly a blank canvas allowing ones own style to come through. You are a fantastic player, Thanks!
Sounds amazing and the playing is amazing. Fantastic work as usual, best gear demo vids on YT.
Incredible demonstration !!!
This demo sort of resurfaced in my feed, even being a couple of years old or so. Such a great demo overall! The playing really is top notch and shows so many different tones. Very nice!
Excellent sound and amazing playing!
Purchased this a month ago and have not put it down! Well done!

I’ve recently decided to get back into guitars after years of only acoustic. Jack’s reviews/playing blows the rest of KZread reviewers/players away - way more musical and less shreddy! 😎👍
Sounds Fantastic! Your playing spectacular!
Ordered mine after watching you! Thanks.
Best demo in my opinion on KZread of the Fiore. You showed the versatility whereas everyone else played clean and compared to the silver sky
Ur so good at playing différent styles and stuff, really good demo man !
Great job my brother! Bought one today
I'd love to own one, I think they look, and sound fantastic!
Killer playing !
I am now convinced that a meeting involving Jack, Chris Buck and some guitars needs to be facilitated and filmed.

Great playing!
Damn dude, what a player! Tomorrow I am going to try this guitar but you already sold it to me lol
Excellent demo disproving it's not a Silver Sky w a humbucker. Also appreciate hearing the wide diverse of tones. Must have been straight from the Woodshed! Well done...!
Awesome guitar player!
Mark is one of my fav young players today..
Fiore gives more noticeably clearer tone differences than Sky provides, and i like that, that makes Fiore more versatile! Good demo you had there, thank you!
Nice playing😎
PRS have finally got hip with their signature guitars , it’s about time the gave them to the younger players
Every time I see your reviews makes me want to buy the guitar 😂 amazing demo looks like it’s a great guitar
Thanks for showing what gear was used on screen.
right from the start that is amazing.
Jack you are such a monster player
You are too modest man, you are an outstanding player!!
Nice playing. I think you were inspired by that guitar.
Interesting guitar definitely cool
I look forward to these demos. Great guitar. Great playing as always. BTW. That light over the orange amp...might want to aim it differently or soften it even more. Man I wish I had that space. Would love to visit Peach one day. I apologize now for all the riffs/runs and chords I have stolen from you Jack!

When you steal from just one person, it’s a crime, when you take it from many players, it’s research. Santana said, so…
The best PRS strat-alike since the Brent Mason. I'll definitely get one in the future.
I want one NOW!

He’s so good.
I have a Squier Vibe with a custom toggle switch a previous owner built into it that gives me more sound options. Only problem is, I can never remember all the combos, so I have to have a screwdriver to hand to touch the pole pieces so I know which pickups are activated, lol. Bit of a pain, but still very fun.
I hate when prs started the strat copies but I gotta admit man this actually looks good
The PRS S2 Studio also is super versatile
Just a freak of player, Jack! And yes great guitar. Sadly the volume knob is too close. Like any Strat for me ;). Luke3 would be great but it’s 7k in Australia. Compared to 4.4K of this.
Just one more comment...it's direction kind of reminds me a bit of the Music Man Luke III HSS...but with the two push-pull features, the PRS appears to win in tonal versatility...
Reminds me of an EB MM Liii. 😏🤘🏼
Want one. You can keep the Rest
I mean, what incredible playing.. but damn does that thing sound good
Great Video feeling my wallet empty waiting on a red one :)
It really is a shame that this guitar was outshined by the Silver Sky. I haven’t had the opportunity to play a SS but I find it hard to believe it’s a better guitar than the Fiore I played the other day
@talkychris

Pretty much everyone who has played both says the Fiore is the better guitar. It's certainly more versatile. I guess a lot depends on what fretboard radius you want to play on and if having a bridge humbucker is a deal maker or breaker.
The look is not my thing but it sounds amazing and I'm a huge Lettieri fan. But tbh, the very pale neck looks cool with the transparent red. Sugar Moon would probably be my thing. See if I can find one to try sometime.
I think the only 2 screw bridge on a PRS is their Floyd Rose models...and now this guitar...
He gives a better demo then Mark on his own guitar lol
@foggyblues13

agreed. lol
Does that bridge stay in tune though?
It's so gross and weird idk how I feel about the 2 post it's just not ... prs... I'd take my DC3 over that way more cause I think paul said the 6 post knife edge offers way more tone to transfer through the bridge Will say I love the new carve on the double horns
Is the neck rounded?

Do you feel this guitar out performs a Peter Thorn Signature Suhr?

If you’re going to spend that kind of money just get a Tom Anderson.
I love Mark Lettieri’s guitar playing and was really looking forward to his PRS signature guitar. Unfortunately, PRS have retained their traditional ‘big bottomed body’ design on an S type guitar, the pickups are just okay, and the neck with those inlays do nothing for the £2500 price tag. Great playing and demo Jack, which has helped me to decide that the Fiore is not for me.
@jamminshaman5935

What’s wrong with the pickups? I think the two single coils sound great (if I owned this I would only swap out the humbucker)
I do like it but wish they had done a different headstock shape and nixed the birds ( I know, those are part of a PRS’ DNA). Also the color options are very limited, the white and red are ok but the trans red looks like something from the 1990s. Not in a good way. Also they should’ve used the Silver Sky 6 screw trem. I want to love it but the aesthetics are a let down. That and a gig bag for $2500 🙄. Oh, and it goes without saying- great playing by Jack.
I wish the birds were more pronounced. You know a lot thicker, that would make me buy one even though I am not a fan of PRS.

Any one hear Ghost - Dance Macabre??
Great playing as usual. Guitar sounds great like that ash body. I don’t think this model is going to make it tho. I think it will be discontinued in a year or two. It’s ugly.
Love everything except that pale maple neck/fretboard. It's blindingly white.
While I concur the Mark Lettieri signature is a tone monster, I can't help but think about Leo's creativity being spawned by everybody and their dogs. I had a lot of respect for PRS, because I always felt they were in their own "rut". John Mayer always was a "Stat boy", and John being John, he actually brought his legitimacy to PRS to enable them to make a PRS "Strat style" guitar. They got away with it. So now they want to surf the swell. John's S style got a huge welcome from people who embraced him, opening the gates for making even more S style guitars. I am disappointed. I know, business is business.
@readysetmoses

Surf the swell? Spare us please. Every guitar manufacturer has made an S style single coil guitar (including PRS - PRS DC 3 - look it up). As soon as PRS does so all the Fender fanboys clutch their pearls. Those same fanboys desperately wanted the Silver Sky to fail but they have sold like gangbusters! Mayer dropped Fender and any other manufacturer would have killed to bring him on. Get over it!

@dannyllerenatv8635

I would say this one is a bit more "PRS"ey (if that makes any sense whatsoever) than the Silver Sky. If someone is going to mention the 25.5 scale length, Mark Holcomb's signature PRS had a 25.5 scale length way before the silver sky happened. Definitely Strat inspired, oh theres no doubt whatsoever about that, but this one definitely has a bit more PRS elements to it than the silver sky.
Fender Vibroverb Amp clickbait...
I love how it sounds. But to me, the neck just look like a knock-off china guitar

I don’t mind it, but maybe they’ll do a rosewood board.
“Without that digital harshness”…. Um, it’s not a digital instrument. 🤦♂️
its a bit exxy!
You're putting the wrong emphasis on the wrong celable
Is it just me or is that neck wide wide wide????!
Fiore > silver sky
If you think this has anything to do with a silver sky you need to quit guitar right now.
PRS should be ashamed and embarrassed charging a small fortune for a strat copy
@gregs8685

It’s in line with other American made strat copies. Suhr Classic S is $3k, Grosh Retro Classic is more than the Fiore. A Fender Ultra Luxe HSS is the same price. My beef with PRS (and Suhr) is for the price they should include a hard shell case.
