*Y'all I love ya, but this is a film I wrote no story for for a grade in a high school class. I uploaded it in order to preserve it for a later date to show myself and others how much I've grown story wise, character design wise, and so on. Thank you, I guess for your critiques, but I know she touched the rock (at time stamp) and I know its cliche and I know there are a thousand holes. But this video meant alot to me in what I learned and how far I've grown since then. I hate turning off comments, but it's just a lil draining to see off comments about holes I know filling my inbox, and "who'd she fuck" comments over a minor through most of the video. I understand some of my discomfort is unwarranted and due to a biased love for the character and nuetral liking of this video, but its enough that I don't really want to see it. Thank you everyone for your support and kindness, and everyone who reminds me where I was a doofus with no education of story building. *
Yike I'm Dying. I had to spit this outta no where in three months. So! Because of that! Yes this animation has a ton of bugs and is choppy. It's not as fluid as I like to animate, which is super unfortunate, but hey. I'm done and I'm dead. Thanks to everyone who helped me out with this project!! Especially Ara for being so patient with me!!
So this is for UIL, a competition where I'm probably not going to get a scholarship or a whole lot of recognition, but I'm competitive and I want to try. Depending on how far I get, I'll be sure to update this to say how far I got. I'm not particularly proud of this and wish I could of fleshed the story out more, but hey, what can you do right?

Q) What Tablet do you use?
A) I use a Wacom Intuos (pen & touch medium)
Q) What computer do you use?
A) A desktop computer that my dad gave me, he and his brother made i his freshman year of college, so it's old but still running like a boss.
Q) What Program do you use?
A) I usually animate with Adobe Animate and edit with Adobe Premier. Extra backgrounds are made in Paint Tool Sai.
Q) Ew?? Your mic sucks and royalty free music sucks too.
A) Yes yes but remember this is a student film. I had to use the resources given to me and what the rules allowed. Only royalty free music is allowed in the competition.
Q) That's not a unicorn, she doesn't have a horn!!
A) Yes that's the point you, thank you for further proving my point that people are discriminated and judged based off their appearance rather than who they are and their personality. I don't see you walking up to people born with birth-defects, crippled, or limbless and saying "Haha that's not a person! HA!" Now although this differs in this case cause she isn't a human, and is fictional, stories are meant to symbolize grander problems, in unfortunately a short amount of time. Alot of people feel they are treated differently for problems that make them differ from the norm. We unfortunately are seeing that today with race, gender, and sexuality. And although this is a grander explanation to a dumb KZread comment jab, its something. So if you feel its rude to liken a fictional unicorn to a human, then imagine a horse. A horse is still it's combined parents breed even if their are changes in it. Obviously a unicorn without a horn is more jarring, but in this universe unicorns have different constitutions, body type, tail type, and civilization.
So though this is a long explanation and oddly a social conversation topic, it's an important thing to keep in mind when you are analyzing the world around you and also the films you watch. NOT because of a dumb KZread video on a dumb site, but because the world is constantly differing in opinion and you have to listen to every side and understand to build your own outlook. Films are such an amazing source of media our kind has created, entertainment that also hits home in emotional (Pixar) or political way.

A) Scientifically? Not at all, unless some wild mystical mutation in their world sprung up thanks to her father and Zita. The point is that people shouldn't be judged based off not fitting the norm, but their personality and how amazing they can be in their unique way. Appreciate the story as it is.

A) She didnt touch it to actually move it tho, she was scoping it out. It's along the lines of she can't push it with her body you feel? The rule was made with the strong unicorns in mind who think pushing it is a way around magic. But see that? That took a bit to explain. I had only 2:30 to say everything, so shh its a short, stupid little animation about a cliche protagonist. But congrats filmcritic666 you have bested me
