This is indeed a prototype that B&M sold to seaworld in order to get the model attention in hopes of more parks wanting to build one. Seaworld was supposed to get a wing coster but B&M offered them 3 prototypes (Pipeline, Penguin Trek, and Phoenix Rising) in exchange for the price of a wing coaster in order to help B&M get their new models more attention.

These rollercoasters are not a new thing, stand-up rollercoasters have been a thing since the 90s, most of them were just removed in the early 2010s since they fell out of popularity. Six flags Great America and cedar point Ohio both had them until 2011 and 2015. The only difference is this one has more room in between each row.
@AFCompany

@@adammote2528 the position the rider is in does not mean this isn’t a new type of roller coaster. Yes standing up on a roller coaster has been around for a long time, but this is a new style and design of stand up. @@jonslg240 starve or get eaten was the way of every species for millions of years on this planet. It still is, we’ve just attempted to sidestep that natural process with innovation. And personally, I’ve never been to SeaWorld, or any park housing orcas, and I still care about their species and its habitat… so your argument is invalid. All I can think about is the torque being applied to those bolts that hold you to the platform. Seaworld better do really good inspections of those shafts/bolts.

Standing coasters aren't a new invention luckily, but of course it looks like they've been improved upon. Cedar point had one in 1996 (RIP Mantis, I loved you though you rattled my brain every time I road you) before they rebranded it in 2015 (Rougarou, with floorless trains). Despite issues with comfort on the original coaster, I found the rebrand to be mediocre, which is pretty unusual for C.P.
Went on a standing roller coaster once at six flags and it was the worst experience ever. Was all fun and games until you accidentally sit in the seat because it locks in place after you put any weight in it. The ride attendant had to keep unlocking the harnesses because people we trying to get comfortable and would accidentally go too far down then be stuck in an awkward position. The ride finally starts and we get all the way through the ride. They are now putting on new people in the other cart. Well something malfunctioned and we ended up being stuck on the ride for 2 hrs and 45 mins. At first people tried to stand but after awhile people got super tired and it was really really hot and sunny with no shade. So people started dropping like flies. A couple people started crying because the harness hurt or their legs were in awkward positions. The ride attendants couldn’t do anything and all they kept saying was the safety locks prevented them from unlocking us until one of the park mechanics came. The ride shut down for the rest of the day and the mechanics had to manually release each person from their harness. They obviously started with the people in pain but after that they got people off based on need. Like they let out a bunch of super young kids, elderly looking folks and a couple people who had diabetes and needed to get/drink. I was one of the last people off and let me tell you it ruined the whole rest of the trip for my family. We were all so exhausted and felt sick from the heat. We ended up leaving early. Thankfully they refunded our tickets so we were able to come back. But I would never suggest a standing coaster ever!

The crocs holding on for dear life
I love how videos show that the rides don’t even look scary… *Then You Finally Get To Ride It* 💀💀💀
Me: w (hands out) Give me your jacket.. Them: U not getting on? Me:👀, Do u want me to hold your phone and shit too? Bcuz i got u Them: Wtf.. i thought u were gonna rid....( Me cut em off mid sentence, oh I'll see u when u get back😂😂
Bro put his crocs in sport mode for this
If green lantern has taught me anything, this is just a leg cramp simulator
"Please buckle your feet to the flooring of this ride, thank you" (I recommend doing this for safety reasons, or buckling the knees to the ride)

@@BrookeKatherine. I mean, think about it, in the video their feet were going up in the air weren't they? What if their feet break with gravity and the speed of the roller-coaster?

@@Gibberish_Introvert713 yeah but the platform extends further than their legs and have tons of rows in front of them. I’m sure there’s an announcement for not lifting your legs, you also notice how they’re the only ones that did it? You don’t think they raised their legs on purpose when even the people in front of them didn’t have theirs in the air.

Mate you have to hold people securely and keep them safe lmao there is no way to do that and have the exact form of surfing
