Prototype (I call the bow ‘Scorpion’) by Hard Core Bows

The Prototype (I call it ‘Scorpion’) by Hard Core Bows (34lbs/ 28”)
A few months ago Armin has reviewed a special Take-Down bow with a handle piece, made of metal.
The performance was very good and so I have asked Armin for the contact details.
Then I have mailed Wolfgang and some weeks later the bow has been finished!
Since Wolfgang also lives in Germany, shipping is no big deal - especially if the parcel is small 😁
The bow has arrived 09th June 2023, weather was warm and sunny and so I took the chance to take a video ☺️
The draw feels smooth, the acceleration of the arrow is very good and the sound is very nice (a dark ‘C’)!
The shooting feels excellent and there is only very little vibration after the shot, which I hardly notice because of Khatra ☺️
The handle is nicely shaped and suits my hand very well! This is awesome, because the handle part is forged steel! The metal feels so light weighted, that I thought it could be aluminum 😁
You will notice, that I needed to revise myself in regards to materials- Wolfgang provided all the input when I was taking the video 😅
The speed is very good: 174,5fps in average with 324gn arrow (9,15gpp) at 35lbs/28“. The min arrow weight is 8gpp for this bow, safe arrow weight is 9gpp (acc. to bowyer).
As always I have marked the chapters for your time management 😁
The content of this video (taken 09th June 2023) is

Thank you so much, dear brother! 😁🙏🙏 Yes, it’s a cool idea and the build is very good, indeed! Just mind, that the handle is forged! It’s really stunning! Wolfgang needs to work this handle very precisely, otherwise the whole assembly doesn’t work well ☺️ This was one of the details I wasn’t aware of before the video, otherwise I would have pointed to this extraordinary craftsmanship ☺️ Is your shoulder a little better? Best wishes and keep up the fun! 🔆🍀

@@agamagreen rm and Shoulder are about 70%, Not able to draw any of my Bows yet, I still have numbness in my fingers and thumb with shooting pains in the knuckles, 💖but all is much better. Thanks, Sister, for your continuous concern.💕🍸

@@kennethhollenbeck7107 If we would be living closer, I would borrow you the 18lbs bow with which you could start - potentially not at full draw, but getting the thumb used to it slowly. You have still not the full feeling in your hands? I guess a nerv could be squeezed or something- maybe an orthopedic doctor can have a look? And if he doesn’t want to, he can prescribe physio therapy (sometimes these guys are more helpful than doctors 😁). You need the full feeling back, everybody should understand 🤗 Fingers crossed! 🤞🤞🤞

I do not know how durable this arch is, taking into account the loads that the structure has to endure and the fact that it is foldable. But I really like that it is adapted to both right and left-handed people, which also allows you to shoot both the Mediterranean way and with the thumb. However, the possibility of its disassembly (e.g. for transport) and then quick assembly makes this bow a great equipment for trips. And I really like the aesthetics of the bow - without ornaments, but with a very comfortable texture covering the bow. Dedicated arrows are also interesting - due to the shape of the cap, they are perfect for horse archers. However, I'm not so sure about the idea of folding arrows. p.s. The translation was done by a computer translator for me, so there may be errors in it.

Thank you so much, dear Infernus! ☺️🙏 Indeed, the bow isn’t foldable, it’s like a Recurve-Take Down bow. If you have a RTD with ILF system, you press the limbs simply into the shoes, it clicks and you string the bow. Here it’s the same, but without a click. The limbs are put several centimeters long into the handle. Once the bow is strung, the limbs are fixed safely. Just make sure, that the limbs are put into the handle until it doesn’t go any further ☺️ This Take Down version is as versatile as all asiatic bows and much lighter than a standard Recurve-Take Down bow (only a third of the weight of a RTD). Best wishes! ☺️🏹🔆
