Doesn't sound that difficult like an Allan Holdsworth solo, maybe he's just demonstrating how to transcribe little bits at a time 🤗🐼♥️✝️💐

That's exactly what he's doing. Breaking it down a little at a time for players to learn jazz content.

Awesome. This is such a great lesson. I was initially frustrated with transcription until I studied with the late Jim Stinnett who gave me model solos to transcribe that were within my reach. Your lesson is very achievable which is great to see.

It is perfect in that it represents C7 perfectly. Also, the phrase resolves to a chord tone. No note in a chord is more harmonically solid than a chord tone.

How can someone even find joy listening to Keith Jarrett if this is hard to transcribe. If someone cant hear this lick, how would you possibly be able to hear and enjoy a total keith solo. On the other hand I think it is great that people practise their ears because it can lead to a true and real appreciation of keith one day. The thing I dont understand is what draws someones attention to keith if they need to take baby steps as smal as in this clip.

@@dako2117 in other words if I cant sing along I have a hard time liking it. Thats why most people dislike jazz. They can’t grasp it.
