Protests to save Victorian LMS train Station, Oxford 1998

Filmed by undercurrents.org
The former Oxford based LMS train Station became the focus for protesters in September 1998 when its demolition was revealed.
Some campaigners scaled the building and climbed trees in a bid to delay the demolition but they were unsuccessful.
The following year the former station built in 1851 was removed to make way for the Said Business School, which overlooks Oxford railway station and Frideswide Square.
The LMS station was removed but it can still be seen today after it was re-erected at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre in Quainton.
